Thread: Is it worth continuing to operate if you never get to be profitable?

I've been doing this for 4 years. Courses, books, mentors, backtests, automatic strategies, price action... and I'm still not being profitable in a consistent way. I don't even know if it's my problem, the market or I just don't have what to have.

If after 4 years you're not profitable, maybe it's time to put aside the ego and accept that it's not for you. It sounds hard, but it's better than continuing to burn time and money.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Sometimes the process takes longer than you want. The fact that you keep trying already says a lot.

Look, 90% of people lose in this, not everyone's gonna be profitable, but if you're passionate about it and not losing what you can't afford, I kept going, but no illusions.

What's not worth doing is still doing the same thing waiting for different results. If in 4 years nothing changed, maybe you're learning wrong.

You may also be closer than you think, but as you don't see results, you give up just before the break. Trading punishes impatience.

Maybe. I've had good streaks, but they never hold back. I always self-slap or risk myself. And that's where everything falls.

So your problem isn't technical, it's emotional. That doesn't fix up with more courses, it fixes itself with introspection or even therapy.

Profitability is not always economical. Capable this prepared you for something else, or you can use what you learned in another field. Not everything is black or white.

You also have to keep in mind that not all are useful to operate. Some are excellent analysts, other good developers. Capable your place is not on the command run button.
