still in,yep agree with your levels.Im on a free trade so hopefully the retrace is over.My plan would be to see if I could find a little the trade in the following leg down.we shall observe fingers crossed but no reduction anything its good.Lets get some more bars from there.G
Did anyone take note of the?

My aim, and the purpose of starting this thread, isn't to just trade the 1 day, 3 day or one week goes for 100 to 900 pips or so, yet to find AND commerce the long-term tendencies.

Since I have not found out how to identify a fad before it starts, all we can do is get in at the safest, lowest risk point and ride it out with fingers crossed and prayers prayed for world alignment it will turn into one of these mega - trends.

This is exactly what Baba G is saying and doing in his post.

This requires an entirely different trading mindset than the H4 and under traders. We must BELIEVE that we have our plan right and be ready to sit it out before it tells us we're mistaken. The majority of the time we will make it wrong and either get stopped out at break even or for minimum % risk. The couple times we get it directly compensate for all those times a thousand times over. I will not blind you with all pips but if you compound and put in on to these trends we saw in EURUSD, EURGBP, GBPUSD, AUDUSD, to mention but some, from June last year on the end of the year, you'd have made your annual salary a few ten times over.

To show the potential, professional trader buddies of the guys from a different forum, made over $six figures millions selling GBPUSD from 2.1 down to 1.5. They are the exception but in comparative terms, identify the possibility.

One way to do so is to trade many lots. If you can't afford lots then lessen your $/pip you can. When the egy and trade is intended trade the plan with 3 lots. How you manage 3 lots or other multiples is up to the trader. There are just as many ways to do this because there are traders - it all depends on your risk aversion.

Take notice of Baba G - he had been in at the very beginning with Jim of James 16 and now, two years later, in addition to trading his own accounts, transactions for others with nothing other than price action with assistance and resistance. From position amateur to professional trader - an inspiration to us all. Thank you, Baba G.

I bet that caught your attention!
I have not managed to do this when I saw How to identify a fad before it starts at the promotional materials sent to me by email a few months ago, it got my attention.
The brakes of my mechanical logic started turning. To see! Impossible is my very first response but I go back Energy can neither be created nor destroyed just transposed from one form to another.
Does this mean that there's some thing in price and moment out there that we've all been overlooking this well-known trader has found? Does this mean that this is a ssh, key? W.D. Gann clearly found a lot - more than he disclosed in his writings - it is known from the Gann circles he used planetary alignment in his analyses. Or is it just another scam to make money out of our pockets to pay for so called effective traders to reside. If it had been so powerful and such a mystery, why would anybody want to talk about it?
By the way, in my hunt for the Holy Grail, I've spent $ tens of thousands on financial astrology including being a member of Welles Wilder's Delta Phenomenon. They were all as much use as a crack at a glass eye!
Most traders concentrate and focus on price but that is only half the puzzle - the missing half is time, which has fascinated me from day one of my trading career. There are traders out there, Larry Pesavento is one, who exchange on time. I believe it's because I did my thesis on Harmonic Frequency Vibration and Resonance that compels me into time cycles etc..
Anyway, I jumped off topic. What I am doing now is looking at the guarantee on this publiion to find out when it ends up, like others, if I could return it for payment, to be a waste of a shrub.
No, I am not still looking for the Holy Grail as, in my earlier posts, I said I had found it. I am just searching. Until I meet with Buddy Holly, I am still studying and will be!

'I just need the 'meat' in the center of the trend'. I think I just had an AH HA' second, thanks to that statement. This makes a lot of sense.

However, how do you discern, first that momentum is in the direction of this trade, and what boundaries your moving to institute as your quote unquote 'meat'.

For instance you made a call that you would short the EUR/GBP in 0.8920, with a TP of 0.8770. Im supposing this is exactly what you would think about the meat of this trend. How can you come up with these 2 points, and what's your stop loss? ...
You worry me, my friend - Im beginning to understand your thought processes - no one, not even my problem and strife for more than 45 years can understand me or my thought procedure!

Truthfully, these are all what I hope to expand on in later articles in fact I just did one earlier on about premature trend recognition.

However, how do you discern, first that momentum is in the direction of this trade, and what boundaries your moving to institute as your quote unquote 'meat'.

Let me just whet your appetite to get your creative juices flowing. See attached chart.

We don't know where the beginning of the next trend is so all we can do is trade the instant chances. On October 21 08 we purchased 3 lots on price action at .7784 and got out on 2 lots on price action on October 28 08 in .7984 to get 200 pips. We left 1 lot running now at BE in our entrance .7784. Nothing to tell us about tendency except the shooting star on October 24 was a new high (but bearish). We sold 3 lots at .7984 on October 28.

The inverted hammer bouncing off the Weekly 50 (OUR BOSS) increased the red flag and stops were pulled into the peak of the inverted hammer. Oct 30, the next day watched the sellers offer their all to push the prices lower but they couldn't get beyond the Weekly 50 - the test. This was the indiion to abandon all shorts that we got out in .7840 to get a small 144 pip profit.

On October 31 we needed a indiion that a trend was forming - Would you see it?

About Nov 03 we purchased boatloads (sorry Mr. MM) in .7940 with a SL at ?

Once we watched the large of this shooting star at .8193 taken out on Nov 12, we knew we were in fat city!

From then on it was a case of managing the position and including and compounding like it was going out of fashion.

Therefore, the meat is after the first confirmation of the trend. Loing the end of the meat is a little bit more challenging but still relatively simple depending upon your greed for profit.

If you apply old Dr Joe to this, you are able to see that it works really well.

Hopefully that can get you thinking but I am hoping, if there's adequate interest, to go into this along with other stress free trading methods later.

Now, understanding the aforementioned, can you answer your self on my EURGBP trade?

Another point, a trade is placed on within a egy (PLAN THE TRADE). Once the trade is entered, the secret is to TRADE THE egy. If you are investing in the Daily chart, then TRADE THE DAILY chart - forget about pips you are up or down, then your egy takes care of that. So many traders try to trade the Daily with a H4, H1, M15 or M5 mentality and then wonder why it doesn't work!

Enough for now, Manchester City from Aston Villa is live on Fox Sports so I Must go.

    Hello Strat,

Thanks for your Advice, I Am following along.

In respect to ol doc Joe's egy personally I believe its easier said than done.

How would you know when the trend finishes? Imagine if their is no fashion that is discernable and you keep shing between buying and selling till you have any money left to buy or sell?

What if you buy on a decrease in an uptrend and the price goes further south and you buy more and it moves down nonetheless more and you understand its a trend change (everything looks great in hindsight does not it). It...
    Hello fugly,

    I expect you are not!

How would you know when the trend finishes?
I'll give you the response Dr. Joe gave me - When it stops moving up!

What if their is no discernable fashion and you keep shing between buying and selling till you do not have any money left to buy or sell?

By the way, it's not possessive so it's there, not their.
If you're switching between buying and selling particularly until you have no cash left then you have no business trading.
You are doing matters in isolation. I posted that we exchange price action at support and resistance. This, in our transactions, guides us along with the direction from the time frame. Also our transactions are managed by us once able. If we have put that we can not afford to lose, then again, we have no business trading and are fodder for the big guys.

What if you buy on a decrease in an uptrend and the price goes further south and you buy more and it moves down nonetheless more and you understand its a trend change

Until the brokerage houses put a fake move on, it seldom happens to me how I trade. Go back to Post # 26, I think it is. I exchange on momentum not. I just need the market to fulfill my order if it goes in my way.

On a dip in an uptrend and IF price action was at service and everything else has been lining up, I would put a buy order a few pips ABOVE the top of the preceeding pub - if price does not go up, I don't get filled.

What I'd love to say if I could is that trading is in factn't simple, if it were simple 90% wouldn't fail supposing the majority ie 90% are capable of successfully accomplishing simple tasks. If you find the majority unable to successfully do something what can it tell you .... It tells you exactly what you believed to be simple is really not so. SIMPLY because most people haven't been able to do it.

You are welcome to say anything you like as long as it is funny or constructive.

After being throughout the trading wringer and been spat out in tiny little pieces with all of my fancy indiors trapped where the sun don't shine, I'm qualified to say it is the trader himself who decides whether it is simple or complied. It was complex and stressful for me BEFORE the light went on and until I found out it was I was making it complied.

Well H4 is the big boss. I was switching through the time frames and that I liked that wick that became an engulfing pub on the H4. I then waited for price to align on M15.

Thank you Strat, your words are truly appreciated and your not giving up on me is heartwarming.
FYI I also took GBPAUD short this morning (my only trade of the day) to a 5M SS at approximately 1am your time (maybe not in front of my screens at this time, so I can't place a chart).

I am far from giving up, rather the reverse.

Precursor I rewrote this two or three times, and debated publishing it, thinking it is a fair bit from my lane, therefore , I'll get rid of it if you say so until the edit time runs out.

Strat I believe that this is connected to probably the most significant part trading (to not assert I am even profitable yet!) . Mindset matters. Controlling yourself and reading something is not just a recipe for success in life, although the key in gambling.

Today, speaking about the very important person on earth (me! ) , two or three years ago I realized I'd gotten into a rut. Depression, blaming others, focusing to excessive, that type of thing in my own faults. Without going into details, I've taken steps to change that all and it has been paying off gradually. It's worth creating a life with more of them in it , in whatever manner, and finding individuals who want to enhance themselves.

For me personally, mastering trading is something I need within a much better life, not a thing to swallow me. I'd much rather do enjoy you and trade a couple of certain hours daily, or (better!) Trade the daily timeframe and do a lot.

Anybody who admits they're not where they need to be and takes action to alter gets respect from me, it is a damn hard journey which doesn't really end.

you're well on your way into life and trading and certainly not a bludger!

Always surround yourself with WINNERS and POSITIVE people, leave the negative nellies and losers to wallow in their own borrie!

You are able to post as much of the stuff as you like.

I wrote this lately for some distinctive traders:

Trading Plogy or Assessing your FEAR and GREED and exercising DISCIPLINE and PATIENCE are 95% of what makes a trader consistently profitable.

Everyone thinks it is the system/egy but its not. You are able to provide a proven profitable egy to 100 traders and just 5 of them will be consistently profitable. The remaining 95 attribute the egy/system due to their loss instead of looking inwards.

That is DEEP so don't gloss over it believe YOU do not need it. I can GUARANTEE everyone needs it!

I did so in the early 90s after I discovered success with Self Hypnosis and Visualisation. Before going full time trading, I used this at my professional career with much success.

Do NOT underestimate the ability of your sub conscious and your mind. It's said that we only use 5% of our brain power surprise yourself and tap into those!

I analyzed Self Hypnosis and Visualisation for years long before there were CDs and DVDs and online content. I practised every technique and bought every book I could find them on. I am fascinated with them to the day.
