OK, for the last few days I've debated with myself about whether to conduct a journal for this test largely because I doubt it will offer much if any advantage to members of the forum. This is mainly because I will not be submitting the EA or even about the trading system. About the only real benefit I can see is that if effective it would offer hope for those who are struggling. So with this in mind I decided to begin the journal.

I had been told early in my investment profession that the best egy is to do exactly opposite of what the masses do. I took this notion and after sing throughforexsoutheast.asiaarticles for the last few years there are several truths which people push as gospel that I have decided to do just the contrary of to demone the contrary of the masses concept.

1. It's not possible to make money with an EA. So this will be an EA trading.
2. You have to trade longer time frames for achievement. This will trade on the 5 min chart.
3. You require multiple indiors on several time frames to line up to make a trade. OK, so this EA will operate only on the 5 minutes using just 1 indior.
4. You should have a risk reward ratio greater than 1:1 prior to taking a trade. Sigh.... This would imply you know precisely what the market will do, okay, some are great at prognostiing where price is going. But it truly isn't essential. Technically, the way my EA is initiated, this method has about a 4:1 risk to reward ratio initially. In fact it will not ever reach that amount unless there is a astrophic failure of my personal computer where I cannot return online to restart the EA. Not likely to happen.
5. The only way to trade is...E.W. VSA, fashion lines, stochastics, etc etc etc.. While I am a firm believer that each trader needs to get the method which best suits their trading style, I also believe that we as people spend a huge amount of time taking something simple and over compliing it. So, the EA trades only using a simple moving average. Just one. Perhaps not a moving average cross, but just candles closing over a simple moving average.
6. Each great system has some amount of trading. So, it's an EA, it either is or it is not, period. It cannot look at a situation and proceed... Yeah, that is pretty close so let us go ahead and make a trade. If it doesn't match the rules, it will not make the trade.
7. You need at least $10,000 U.S.D. to begin trading. So this was put up using $1,004.95 at a live account for trading. Why that amount? Because that is what was in another account I had with this business. It had been just sitting there, so I decided to make it go to work.
8. You cannot make any money with a bucket store. So this account is using a bucket store. Who doesn't really matter. I will let people know after the test is done. Bad or good.

There are most likely others but I can't recall them at the moment. If I think of them I'll add them into the thread. If you think of a single article it here and I will allow you to know if the EA goes together with or contrary to it.

Once the EA was started there will not be a INTERVENTION allowed at all. If it bombs it bombs and I am okay with that. I've been testing it on demo for the last 3 months and the results are really good.

It'll Be running on EU, EJ, GJ, and GU. No other pairs will probably be traded throughout the test. Risk is set at 2 percent per trade. Goal is about 2% growth every day, roughly.

The four pairs were chosen because one of them has a good movement daily. If EU,EJ and GU are just sputtering about, GJ is likely having a good evening and will pull for the remaining losers. LOL!

The EA sets a first hard stop, but this really is only there if the computer crashes or whatever unexpected astrophe shows up. It will have a trailing stop feature built in, but it's uncommon for it to really finish the trade.

That I will attempt to update the results daily using a normal post but this isn't guaranteed. I'll only post account announcements around one time weekly, the remainder of the time that it will just be me posting what the results were for any given day.

I guess the main objective is to show people that it really doesn't have to be complied to trade Forex.

That I will likely start the EA either Monday night or Tuesday night. I want to test a little change I made to it on the past few days before switching to the live account.
