Thread: NinjaTrader has screwed up big time!

WideEyed you have to be earning the BIG BUCKS. I never discovered that free was a good reason not to use a product that works. As for different time frames, my egy does not change. The one thing which changes is your candle size. Price action is price action.

I'm a newcomer when it comes to trading.

But I'm an expert when it comes to lifestyle LOL

MT4 isn't free, somebody's paying for it and it's the individual for whom MT is making money. There is lots of material around on the way and MT functions in the broker's interest, none.

It's like with Facebook. That is free too, right? But if you're not paying for it you're the product.

In regards to trading I wish to buy and market; I don't wish to be bought and sold. Nevertheless, the main reason I don't use MT is not the price, it's about getting DOM and a proper data feed directly from market rather than routed through a broker.

BTW, you did not understand my point in M15 ... but never mind.

Wow, an expert on life. That's a first. Point is.... TO EACH IT'S OWN.... I am not here to understand, I am here to make MONEY....There is enough cash for brokers, me and you. As a beginner trader you fail to realize this. My purpose is NinjaTrader is down MetaTrader remains upward. (What exactly does Facebook need to do with this???)

You clearly do not understand trading or platforms, or the way they work.
First, a platform is a front end, so NinjaTrader is not down, its one of those feeds to it cant get itself going. I assume you know what there is a data feed?

Let me rephrase; Should you use NinjaTrader you aren't trading.... Should you use MetaTrader commerce on as normal.... THAT I CLEARLY UNDERSTAND...

I am glad you are earning enough money to spread around to brokers and many others.

But when I increased position size (from the days once I was able to utilize Metatrader) I found commissions to be a lot, lot more affordable than spreads. It'd be even cheaper if I had been any good at bargaining with my broker!

As has already been pointed out, NinjaTrader is not down, it's the ZenFire data feed. And if I did want to utilize NinjaTrader now I could - there are several free info feeds accessible (but you understand my position on free ;--RRB-). I make no criticism of anyone using MT. Good luck to them. The MT reliability isn't good enough for me . . .and once I talk reliability, I am not talking about down it. I have never known it to go down. I am talking about reliability of data. That type of constant hidden unreliability that is round-the-year is, to me, more of a concern than my current ZenFire problems.

I don't cover my spreads and commissions stay the same no matter my position size. You do not need to bargain with your broker. If your account is big enough they will do what you would like. If not get a broker which will...

    WideEyed,

I very much appreciate your post below. I'm in the process of searching for alternatives to MT4 and NinjaTrader was pretty high. You confirmed me anxieties of a transition that's considerably more complex it seems on first glance. Have you got any experience with incorporating Ninja with InteractiveBrokers? If so, do you need to choose price feed supplier? It seems like if a solution was in which would be to have a broker trading API to hook NT into, a switch to NT could be a much easier sell.

And now it seems like it won't be repaired at all as Mirus has sent clients an email saying they can switch you if you would like. When? Probably in the next few days (because their telephone lines are busy and they're not responding to emails). NinjaTrader itself...

    Hello Imino,

Who is your broker if you are not using an ECN broker but are pleased to have a large deposit with a MM?
