Well done to Muzza, being the first to hit the nail on the head... When you have guessed, we're starting cTrader (and cAlgo) this week. We are excited to give this alternative platform for everybody, which increases this range we have available.
Personally, I'm quite new to cTrader, but I like it. I've been an MT4 user at broker level and by the customer perspective for several decades, and now having used cTrader I will see numerous differences. I am sure you will find some with the same love/hate connection for cTrader just like MT4, but we are really excited about what this offers you all. We'll have a few webinars scheduled later this week to conduct through the advantages of the platform, so anyone interested is welcome to contact me directly for the specifics, and they'll be on our site shortly (http://www.thinkforex.com/eduion/weekly-webinars).
Muzza - send me a personal message with your account number and I'll receive your prize sorted out!
Cheers
As promised, here are the details of our debut into cTrader webinars:
Wednesday 7pm (Melbourne time): https://www3.gotomeeting.com/ojoin/6...00000000276030
Thursday 10am (Melbourne time): https://www3.gotomeeting.com/ojoin/8...00000000276030
I'll be about the webinars, so I look forward to 'seeing' you there.
Simply to clarify this along with your question about webtrader:Originally Posted by ;
Webtrader is not the same access point to the identical server. The accounts will be the same and they dwell on the MT4 server, therefore if the trading server is currently offline, no orders can be placed out of MT4, the cellular platforms or the webtrader (or even from the broker side).
As for developing a demo account to enter transactions, whilst on paper this can appear like a very simple solution there are numerous possible problems, one being that to then sync all the orders would be quite problematic, we would also have had to factor in whether a client would have the crucial margin etc to take a position at the time, and finally and maybe the largest, regardless of what was said, since it's only a demo account there would be nothing binding between us and you to state that the demo trades would have to be honoured, so somebody could place a number of transactions, and if they turned out to become profitable, take them and if not could 'do a runner'. It is also tough to honor new rankings that are based on hypotheticals for a reason, and also why fixes usually only relate to present positions.
Finally there is no true quick fix or ideal scenario in these scenarios, but as long as nobody loses out for this, that is our aim, and I feel that's what we've attained.
Once more, I apologise for the inconveniences caused and we are working quite hard in the background to do our very best to ensure that this kind of problem doesn't occur again.
Chris
Hi Chris,
I'm looking forward to the opening of thinkforex UK, when are you expecting it to be fully operational?
Concerning the recent technology problems I hope this type of problems or any other technology problems won't happen again in the future anybody will lose interest in TF even in the event that you decrease your spreads, commissions... etc, a stable trading environment is much more important than any competitive trading conditions.
Good luck Regards,

We Provide a NDD model. We've gone further than many different brokers and clearly summarized our Honest Execution Coverage which should provide you all the details you will need: http://www.thinkforex.com/why-thinkf...ecution-policy.
UK launch is coming soon - we are making sure we have all the necessary in position before getting started, this includes the suitable support and all the funding choices etc..
We will of course let everyone know when we get going!
Thanks,
Chris
