Thread: Trading is as simple as 1-2-3

Hello. I see approximately ten traders are seeing. Please present yourself. Don't be shy.

    Price went up.

    If you wait or depart?

Where should you move your stop?

Just how many pips are you up?

Entertaining and very simple. And I love easy! I want to measure what most traders do...
How well does this egy work for you?
    Cheers,

    Should you depart and reverse?

Hello kprsa. This is not really a egy per se. Only a rule for entry. It works when it is followed by me. There's always temptation to mess with it. So easy to lose the attention of one and be distracted by what other traders are doing. Not to mention, the abune of indiors, systems, approaches, egies, etc.. .

How would you quantify this, kprsa?

Price is below the previous bar high and above the current bar open.

    Will price breakout?

Sentiment: It allows me to follow exactly what the majority of them (retail) traders are doing nearly in real time.
Retail traders' sentiment quantifies the prey mentality. It is ready to go away from them, particularly when they're wrong about direction.

I know what you mean about focus and after a single egy...

I was going to write this at the forum, but this area is better!

I see the Open as a reference point on a area, eg. Football. Hi/Lo is the thickness that the opposition got into the zone. The deeper into lower lows the zone or higher highs. Therefore Open is a sort of fixed reference point and the mid of this Hi Lo is my reference point that is variable before closure.

If Price is over Open AND over OH mid, then Long on following candle.
If Price is under Open AND under OL mid, then Brief on following candle.

If Price is over Open AND over OH mid, then Long on next candle. This seems backward. The closer the ball gets to the opposing team's goal line, the more probable the team with the ball will probably score and the defense will perform harder. If price fails to make a new high and closes under the OH midcentury, a trade are the call. Otherwise, an entry in exactly the exact same direction as the ball is moving would be late. Both bar charts show this. If I understood you properly, you would have gone when I had been going long because price closed under the OL min.

Price failed to make a lower low - the defense held. Enter long. But your entry: If Price is under Open AND under OL mid Short on candle, would have led to reduction. Perhaps I have misunderstood you.

I see what you mean, and might have to concur. Isn't this simply swing trading on a scale that is bigger?

    I will take two...
Looking at the NZ, it looks like the last 4 bars would have been profitable transactions.
