Thread: Sessions Indicator

This is a later version of Auto_Sessions I did along my way to creating what I believe an ideal sessions indior, I use myself.

Various improvements in this you are mentioned in comments inside it.

Bug I have highlighted in picture got corrected afterwards. In such cases the pip count is incorrect also.

You need to set Session times to everything you need. For more info on this see notes re my two sessions indies in this thread.

In my personal version I later included:Australian semester (default shows only two weeks ) Outlines option since in the event that you overlap two solid colours for a THIRD colour and it becomes a mess. Full control of every session Labels that titles the session as well as the pips range. Bugs fixed I mention it to point out exactly what could be done.
    Outlines mode revealed:

RE: to allow it to only display a single session: set the Begin period to match the End time:

Thanks, I'll give it a go.

I did as you mentioned before by setting the session Begin time to match the End time, however it would still show multiple PIP counts in the corner for many sessions, not only the principal session I wished to display...

    Quite annoying...

I shall try your upgraded version, thanks !

    Hello everybody!

I am looking for an indior that plots only a horizontal line for both high and low of Asia.

    Try this one.
I uncommented a input signal for ShowPips and extra code to test if true or false.

    The individual sessions comes next.

The session bars that are coloured didn't line up with the backdrop lines. I changed the graphics strategy (code) to resolve that. Hopefully it'll look right on most of monitors now. Hi All,
I'm a new, and knowing just a little about Forex and Sessions. I have a fundamental question (a ridiculous question, but as a newbie I hope it's a normal situation to ask such question... and hope that you can help me to understand it....

    A) As there is DST employing to market open-close time, is it possible to adjust it automatically? Like I don't know exact time must shift the time - 1 hour for calculating the semester in Winter/Summer.
    B) A number of brokers having distinct MT4 server time (most of these are GMT 2 / GMT 3, but there are some broker with GMT 0 server period, etc). I want to know the specific period of SYDNEY session begin/open for every single day (not based on my broker time). So, I can draw the Vertical line / box exactly at SYDNEY open time, this is my daily trading open time (will be changed for Winter/Summer). How to calculate it?
Is it wiser to calculate based on LocalTime instead of ServerTime?? If I use LocalTime, and I visit a country that does not has DST, I must change my notebook local time from default (Italy) to the new country local time (I have to do so for some reasons). And calculating based on localTime() will effect the result of my daily open time...

Any clue how to solve this?
    Thank you in advance. Tom

Re your question (a), something like this might allow you to begin.

Sorry, I really don't have answers to your other queries.
