Capitalist, I am really beginning to dig one man. Instead of being lazy like me, you went ahead and did the true math proof. I lazily skipped that part, attempting to make my stage only with the logic. Thank you sir, you're a shinning light on this forum. And im not just saying that because you said I was right LOL (I already knew that)

yes, out-statisticing them would be the only method to win. However, you'd have to believe oanda is pretty darn dumb for this to work. Options valuation has come a long way in recent decades, and the math is pretty much solid these days (ie black scholes etc). When I first heard about those box choices I did a little math to see whether they were mispricing the choices in any way, just for kicks. Unfortunately oanda isn't a dummy.

I simply added a vouch. He also began a thread on neural nets that I think is going to ROCK!

Thanks for your comments too Merlin! I'm actually still only an undercapitalized doofus in an apartment somewhere.

Thanks, Merlin (and capitalist). It is appreciated by me. You were spot on about the price analysis. Silly me, I completely forgot about that $55 price! Should have known it was too good to be true. It seems like to make a profitable hedge with Oanda's choices, you'd have to know where the trade goes if it went against you, as a sizable box option as a hedge doesn't provide enough return on investment to cover most trades. Basically, to win these choices, it feels like you have to get a valuation model that's way more accurate than Oanda's... we are talking 15% greater or more, since Oanda's egde (ie, risk disperse ) is huge.

Too poor. Maybe I will play around a little more with them in small amounts and determine if I can locate some smart egy. I mean, hey - that they can use the money anyway...'cause once my NN is ready to go, their 0.9pip EUR/USD spread won't have nothing on my statistical edge

    Have a fantastic weekend guys.
