You will probably never hear this in Egypt, but in some US urban areas, the word was that our government blew the levy in New Orleans. Theory possibly. Greed to raise prices higher? Who knows.

Actually, the breached levy clearly made matters worse because off-shore platform workers evacuated the area, thus slowing the oil business's recovery. Supposedly a barge rammed the levy in question, but the barge was never confised or scrutinized to establish an incontrovertible nexus. In addition, the breach was allegedly well beneath the influence markers of the barge (which actually was shown on television resting against the levy). This was in large part one of the reasons people were shooting military/rescue re-entered the devasted area.

Conspiracy or not, the US government knew well ahead of time (years) the impact of a CAT 3 or higher storm yet failed to take preventative steps. Even rehearsed the scenario.

So far as tsunamis, the conspiracy is that the US analyzed underwater nuclear weapons meant to mimic undersea earthquakes. The simple fact is US satellites had remarkable before and after images of the devasted area. I just could not determine the egic significance at the time, such as would justify satellite flyovers before the disaster.

I still insist that you may be on the right side of this market or on the incorrect side if such an event happens. . .There are always shorts, even when things like that occur, some get hurt some get rich if they don't know in advance. . .If that I were to make this kind of event to profit from the markets at all, I'd select the market with the least amount of shorts accumulate as long positions as I can so I can sell them later after the event at higher prices, but there'll be still individuals who were long before me....It's not about the event, it is about the trading game generally...

Merlin once said a very good fine quote when people complained about quit hunting. . .He said that you trade or complain about the principles. . .So we already know that all markets are prone to some sort of exploitation, but we take this, so we just trade don't complain about the rules that's it...

A couple months before katrina hit, discovery channel ran a hurricane show which explained why new orleans could be a major disaster if anything big hit there.

And so it was.

A few months following the asian tsunami discovery sent out scientists to get a show on the caus eof the disaster. They discovered that there was a fault that shifted upwards about I think.

They also discovered that the fault ran for hundreds of kilometers and warned that only a small section was triggered,... the rest could go anytime.

They reran it a few weeks before the next one happened which killed around 300 individuals.
