I tend to get more out of essays compared to novels and this just piqued my interest. I believe I will attempt to turn these up this weekend.

wow! That was an AMAZING interview. Its incredible how greeny is, his every answer seemed as though it was thought about for days.

My favorite part is when he stated GM and Ford should concentrate on making good cars rather than stressing about the fed. That made me laugh out loudly.

Also interesting is how he defended his right to speak about the economy after retiring as fed cheif. I didnt expect that out of him.

Looking forward to the CNBC interview tonight!

Oh another part of the interview is that when he talked about interest rates now and then. This was very important I think. He said that he was able to rates at will because there was no fear of inflation. He went on to state that didnt do exactly the same thing because inflation is presently a threat.

Also interesting is how he explained that the credit crunch is a short term issue, whereas the reemergence of inflation is the largest long run threat to the market. Basically he hinted that this particular credit fiasco has not bigger problems on his hands than bernanke.

He's managing to please greeks and trojans recently. If cut, be careful for the market, Inflation an issue for Fed. Expected / desided outcome: boost the book sales. I can't blame him:

btw, I thought of another highlight... did anybody else hear greenspan say mission accomplished after being advised that the sentate couldnt understand his fed speak? This is a stunning entrance, If I understood what I thought I heard.

His wife makes a neat little income so that probably helps. I saw her one of the Sunday talk shows and she seems damn good for her age.
