that is the tricky and unpredictable part of newstrading. Even if the market goes in the direction you would expect right after news release, it could rapidly change direction within matter of seconds.

@Datatrading Basically you have known it correct, however as UlliC stated you could never understand how the markets will respond. IF the reading is actually good or really bad like on your example prediction 82 and actual turns 180 signifies EURUSD will fall like a stone one way. But the reading is shut like prediction 82 k and actual 84 k be ready for anything . Hope that attracts some light. Cheers

In theory that is right, in practice we frequently see whipsaws like the one that shaped last Friday. Sometimes the reaction is very unambigious, other times the reaction amounts into the above-mentioned whipsaw. One can never be sure what it would be.

1. So if Forecast 82K and Actual let us say 100K its good for currency means EUR/USD will go DOWN, right?

2. So if Forecast 82K and Actual let us say 70K its bad for currency means EUR/USD will go UP, right?
