View Full Version : Successful egies
hi,
please forgive me if this is an overly newbish question, but iam very hot to understand what the most successfull egies are (I think it doesnt matter if they attract only a couple of pips. Is not the purpose that they make pips on a constant level?) :
As I read and think that it is:
-EJ_4h
-vegas wealth builder
-Forex Over Easy
What additional egies are extremely effective for quite a long time? I could make a listing? Hi Mike,
I believe that you might get the responses to this kind of question a little unsatisfactory. The reason being what you have probably heard earlier. It Depends upon the Driver. In other words, if Fernando Alonso allow me to drive his F1 Renault, would you expect me to conquer David Coulthard's Ferrari?
No... I wouldn't either... But I would rrrreeeellly like to try.
I trust you understand my purpose .
I think maybe starting with a little more general question of what sort of system do you prefer? Might just net some clues for you.
TA
1) Breakout.
2) MA Crossovers.
3) Momentum.
Etc . .
FA
1) Interest Rates.
2) Political Stature.
3) Ecconomic Inflation/Deflation.
Hope I did not steer your thread in a way you did not want to go but....
VRRRROOOOOOMMM
4th equipment... I'm alright...
hi,

Successful Strategies are all in your head.
Any egy which has a positive expectancy can be successful IF your head is right.

P.S. No issue is too newbish so be bold and ask anything you desire!
Hi all seasoned and successful traders,
As BEMAC mentioned, please tell us what kinds of trading platform would you rather have? And why ?
Thanks alot all of you.
Hi all seasoned and successful traders,
As BEMAC said, please tell us what types of trading system do you prefer? And why ?
Thanks alot all of you. I am a seasoned trader....seasoned with salt which is!
I favor trading systems which make money. Why? Do you truly have to ask?
P.S. Dial is Perfect. It's all in mind, and if your head happens to be a lightbulb, then it's just a filament of your imagination! (I crack me up!)
Im a noob to fx but have been trading for inventory for about a year...I prefer self explanatory; it enables me to profit (for the most part) regardless of how the market turns, but its risky...:-)
P.S. Dial is right. As usual.
Hey Fryes!
What's that in your avatar? A girl, or a mermaid? I can't quite tell if the thing sticking out on the right would be a tail or simply a few fries.
I can see that she has breasts.... Like Me!! UU

I am a trendline bouncer so watch out!
Seriously I think you can start with any of those EJ_4H or even Vegas systems (the next one never heard of)they are both excellent systems. But please don't trade real money initially and in the event that you eventually come to trade live one or more of these systems then trade money which you afford to lose. And never quit doing researching on your own, any idea you've got consider it throughly, examine it, ditch it in the garbage and begin. All this process can lead you to some realisations and Aha! Moments which will lead you said.
Of course I am not saying that you wouldn't be successful from the start trading those systems, so please go ahead and trade baby!
P.S. I am not a winning trader! But I am not a losing trader either! I am a breakeven trader and I am proud!
I'm not a winning trader! But I'm not a losing trader ! I'm a breakeven trader and I'm proud! Hello soso,
Good on you! You should be proud. It requires a lot of tough work to move from beginner to breakeven trader. In a couple more months, I'd love to hear you say you have moved into consistent profits. I dare you.

Well I must say, I am pretty happy with my trading. I trade a modified knife and also a trend following procedure, which is still the knife or even the 4 hour Vegas.
People before me are so right. I simply don't enjoy trading reversals, so I stay away from your Vegas Daily. It is a good method, but not for me personally.
I owe my consistency to 4 items.
1. Help from other people more knowledgeable then myself
2. Practice, practice, clinic
3 recognizing that sleep is way over rated. Ya gotta put the time in.
4. Eduion isn't affordable. Pay for quality materials and read.
Any egy will work with good money managment. It's possible to take a system that just wins one out of 3 occasions and with a reward to risk of 2:1, you can loose twice and win after and still break even. And that is having a system
that is not quite as good as throwing a coin to place a transaction. Imagine what can be accomplished with a coin toss or much better. .
Everyone talks about risk/reward ratios but they dont make sense to me. How can you figure out it.
From what I have seen people say they have a stop of 20pips and 40pip limit in order that they are a 2:1, which isnt a 2:1 ratio since it is 2x as difficult to get 40pips, so its actually a 1:1. Everything could be 1:1. 50stop 150limit = 1:1
is there something I am missing?
Yes, you're mixing probability with reward to risk.
If I am willing to risk $10 to make $20, that's a reward to risk of 2:1
At a seperate problem, what's the likelyhood of making $20 is a question of chance and is independent in the first announcement.

I went and bought the publiion chances for dummys (me) and it explains this quite well.
As soon as I discovered day trading on an internet search engine a little over 2 yrs back, I believed, no way am I gonna have the ability to learn this stuff. I didn't even understand what ask/bid meant. I got a demo account and began clicking on matters and learned what the definitions of all of the words meant with out reading anything. I was using tick charts to say ok now it's gonna begin to go down or up. I did this for about 9 months and moved through several demo accounts. I believed there isn't any way of this occurring. I then thought I needed to go to office depot or a place like this to buy some charting software so I could do it (I never did). If I could get 10 pips on a trade, I was estatic. Then, one afternoon, I decided to type in forex on an internet search engine also STARTED TO READ. Things began to fall into place a little. I dug a bit more and some more and some more. FINALLY, I discovered forex mill and things really started to click (needed to put that part ). I check into forexsoutheast.asia every hour unless I am sleeping. Once you have read every thing, go and read it again. Don't believe that you can get it figured out in a day a week or even a year. This stuff takes alot of time. I spend at least 16 hours a day working on forex and studying. It will never end. Don't believe that you can take all of the information and place it down on paper and allow it to work straight away. It will never happen. Start small. I really could go on and on about this stuff. Just do not give up. I have been discouraged so much. I think I am too stupid to learn that stuff. Watching these other men and how smart they are using how that they trade and their schooling and jobs. I have come very close to giving up. I have had people shke their heads at me when I say I trade foreign currencies on line. I have had my computer give me up and die making me go buy a different one. However, you know what. It will occur. In the previous 4 months, I have spent close to 1,800 hours studying, no joke. Practice, Practice, Practice. Open a chart and place one indior on it. Look at when price begins to do some thing and what your indior does. Anyone that wants something given to him/her will probably have a quite difficult time making it. It is no differant than a person without a project going around asking people for money day after day. A person has to go out and do the work. I have so much to know yet butI am learning and I shall tell ya, when I will make my account frow day after day, I am gonna be so proud of myself. I accomplished what I believed I couldn't, I did what they all told me I couldn't. I am so motivated to succeed. That is what you require, you do not need us to give you a method, you need motivation to go out there and get it done. Every one of us could provide you a system which makes money but, it won't work for you enjoy it works for every one of us. I hope I haven't said anything offensive in this but, it's the reality. Ok, I'll shut up now cause I am convinced this is getting really long winded. Forex is one large puzzle. As soon as we think we're gonna be putting that last bit in, we realize that the previous bit is missing.
.. .when I will make my account (g)frow day after day, I'm gonna be so proud of myself. :Applause::Applause::Applause:
Great for you'Dad. Great post. Made want to stand up and cheer for you.
I can't make my account grow day after day but it grows complete and I'm delighted with that.
Well, here is a fantastic lesson. Http://www.tradeology.com/lessons/channels/channels.html

I think you might find the responses to this kind of query somewhat disappointing. The reason being that which you have probably heard earlier. It Depends upon the Driver. To put it differently, if Fernando Alonso let me push his F1 Renault, would you expect me to beat David Coulthard's Ferrari? It is very good to see I'm not the only wacko in north america that follows F1.
Sorry to interupt...

Hello RENASDAD,
Your proposal and advice are well posted.
Newbie like me will learn from you well.
Thanks you're certainly welcome.
Hi all,
I gotta share this one with ya.
I discovered a way to help shovel that mountain of info inside yer head, particularly when your PC is from the lounge and there's annoying background noise.
Visit http://www.readplease.com/ and then take a peek at their text to address. They have two versions and yet one is FREE (wey hey)
I've started cutting and pasting into that and letting it read for me as I browse the origional document and take a look at the images (sorry, charts)
Shove on the old headphones and the speaker becomes into your head and voila, instant cranial enima.
Might not work for everyone, but I find it helps with the old data retention particularly following a 12 hour shift.
Oh, please note this idea has nothing to do with my avatar.
Hope it helps
Lyndon

Hi !
First, thanks for the answer on the speedy MT4
Second, if you are going to conquer Coultard with the Renault it is not difficult. It just depends upon which circuit. Do not lift your foot off the pedal; full gas and at the very first bent he will slow down ( you do not ), fold the steering and just be certain you hit on the front of his F1 with your back wheels.
Just need a good coach technic and train until you create it.
What do you think?
Just kidding
If you are new to forex, I suggest reading over forexbastards.com
Best website on the internet that you could find. Easy and down to earth. Trust me, from a man thats been scammed a hundred times over, I know all the tips. . .and this is one website that is honest!
Cheers. Yep, I read through this whole site and I think it was worthwhile as a newbie .all I could say is I am glad I found forexsoutheast.asia

My primary long-term trading egy is a egy that does not utilize the favorite chart forms and incorporates fib amounts for profit taking.
That is about all Mr. Trend is willing to disclose of the secret sauce. :
Can u discuss your book list,

so that we get benifit out of that
