    MML Indior

The MML indior also forms part of this trading system which will be summarized throughout the thread.

    SETTINGS for MML indior

    1. D1 : P64 (for most symbols)

    2. M15/M5 MML System P=64; MMP=60 : (other values that match with octive gap to ADR sizing may also be implemented).

Splitting the symbols into various groups:

    (a) (ADR lt; about 60 pips)

    (b) Moderate (ADR gt;60 and lt;100 pips)

    (c) Fast (ADR gt;100 pips)

A certain setting could be applied to a given symbol or alernatively a typical 'best match'.

For reduced TFs like M5 and M15 leave the P=64 fixed but don't hesitate to change the MMP to additional values for example 60 (minutes).

You will notice that the MML grid octives change dimensions.

As a general guide I have a tendency to like octive openings of 15-20, 21-40 and gt;40 pips depending on the kind of this instrument (slow, med or fast mover).

It may rely on the session being traded as well as the symbol used.

    For example,

When I was trading GBPAUD in the Asian session I would first have to get some notion of the likely trading range for this particular pair in this session.

When I was trading GBPAUD in the London session I would first have to get some notion of the likely trading range for this particular pair in this session.

When I was trading GBPAUD in the New York session I would first have to get some notion of the likely trading range for this particular pair in this session.

I have a tendency to use a general octive gap the majority of the time since most of my trading will create in the PA in and around an MML zone and not always a calculated octive gap for any given pair.

But, the alternative is always there for traders to apply what settings they feel most comfortable with trading on a given symbol in a given session.

Trader choice in the end of the day and I am Pleased to see that a version of MML settings.

The TF of the traded graph needs to be utilised in determining appropriate P, MMP values.

    MML indior vocabulary:

    1. P=Stage in pubs (default is 64 and greatest to leave this value as it is)

    2. MMP=Stage in minutes (change this value based on symbol, session, desired octive gap)

    3. StepBack=0 (altered only in infrequent sitautions).

    D1 M15 Instance:

    MML Settings:

    P=64 [Stage in pubs]
    [TF=D1: 4,8,16,32, 64=Quarter, 128=half year, 256=1 year Published]
    [TF=M15: 16=4 hours, 96=1 day, 480=1 week, 1920=1 MN]

    MMP=0 (default=1440) [Phase in moments, 60=1Hr,240=4Hr, 1440=Daily, 10080=Weekly, 43200=MN]

Stepback=0 [a period shift back in time ;in which 0 = current bar]

Apply values which make sense and fit up with all the traded TF.

MML sites to acquire additional insight is found below:

The QUAD CANDLE SYSTEM [D1 TF is the primary time period applied]

The QCS system is based around 4 by D1 candle configurations with respect to the following:

    a) 2 Fragrant candles followed by 2 bearish candles looking to go short the market

    or

    b) 2 bearish candles followed by 2 bullish candles looking to go long the market

    ENTRY (Basic criteria)

Enter short after the Brief Quad Candle Pattern (SQCP) has completed

    or

Enter long after the Long Quad Candle Pattern (LQCP) has completed

Considering that the trigger for entry must occur after the closing of a daily candle, make sure you understand that this doesn't suggest an entry in the early Asian session and really an entry may happen at any time within the current D1 candle (QCS trigger candle).

An advantage of this is in the situation where a pullback occurs allowing a dealer to get into the marketplace at a 'better' cost.

The traders reward to risk ratio are also more ideal since the SL will generally be smaller.

The drawback is in the event that cost doesn't pull back along with the dealer is left behind leading to a missed opportunity.

It's not a good idea to enter late into a trade but this is in the discretion of the dealer and in any case the TFs traded are higher making late entries a possibility.

Other entry criteria are also discussed as the thread progresses.

    ADDITIONAL ENTRIES

    Quads -
    1st entry in a setup should stick to the Quad pattern entry criteria as outlined previously;

2nd and following entries of the same Quad Setup can adhere to a Quad Pattern however they don't need too.

The accession of transactions is in the discretion of the dealer and may be contingent on the following:
    a) Support Resistance;
    b) Fibonacci ratios;
    c) Harmonics;
    Id) Daily Range ratios (pip count);
    e) Quad Patterns (next in series);
    Id) MML octive amounts; or
    g) any other dealer preferred method.

Note 1: The accession of all transactions which form a Quad Setup must be designed such that the sum total of all the SLs is significantly less than the assigned risk.

Note 2: The assigned risk (typically 0.5% - 5%) is that the total loss that occurs if current SL amounts of all running transactions were to be removed.

The 1st entry is potentially the most important of this sequence of transactions in a Quad Setup because it is in a place that the dealer anticipates to be the start of a brand new super trend either UP or DOWN as the case may be along with the accession of transactions is expected to add considerably to the increase of the account.

The careful addition of transactions to a provided Quad Setup is what provides the possible acceleration in growth.
In any way times the risk should be monitored and controlled as far as you can from the traders finish.
Some danger like broker negative slippage, flash crashes and black swan events may not be possible to control by the dealer.

    MML -

The accession of transactions within an MML Setup can trace any of the above mentioned points according to a Quad Setup or be based purely on the motion of cost favorably beyond any chosen number or level of an MML octive or a pullback followed by a dip. As above the Fibonacci ratios and harmonic moves may be implemented at the traders discretion.

    Stop Loss

Normally placed above or below the Quad Candle Cluster (QCC).

Fundamentally above or below the major swings.

Nevertheless, the following may be utilized at the discretion Of the trader

    1. Swing Highs or Lows or in QCC loions as mentioned above (allow a minimum gap of 20 pips above/below this level);

    2. ATR trace index;

    3. Chart structural highs or lows since the case dictates;

    4. MML SL Logic

    (a) If an entry is to be produced from either the -2/8 MML or 2/8 MML afterward a:

    I) minimal SL of 50 percent of the current Octave Gap should be implemented
ii) maximum SL of 100 percent of their current Octave Gap

    b) all other SLs from MMLs should be a minimum of 1 octave gap up to a max of 2 octave gaps.

    C) exceptions could occur dependent on the chart arrangement and other factors for a given instrument (money, index, commodity etc).

    Take Profit

needs to be at least in a 1 to 1 ratio (TP to SL).

Ascertain the pips for the SL dependent on the preferred SL egy and make the TP gt;= SL pips (always consider chart arrangement and correct).

    A minimal ratio of 1 to 1 or 2 is 2:1, 3:1 or 4:1.

Chart arrangement, Harmonic completions, MMLs and Fibonacci ratios might also be utilized for potential TP levels if preferred.

However, the installation should make sense and a TP at least equivalent to the amount of SL pips (SL must be implemented at a well thought out loion).

The idea should be to start with a bigger TP like a 4 to 1 ratio and since the trade unfolds favorably seem to trail your entry from a large space.

For example, since we're generally trading the HTF D1 Chart afterward price should be extended a minimum of 100 pips before a BE is employed to lock in 10 to 25 pips, after which the SL might be tightened a bit after each additonal 50 to 100 pip profit.

    OAPDave suggestion (June 11, 2017):

Utilize the Monthly Octave levels as a guide for the TP level on a D1 Quad or MML Setup.

    Trailing Stops

Trades could be trailed since the trader sees fit.

    Instead a trader can use:

    a) BE a few pips after price has proceeded favorably X_pips.

    B) ATR index

    c) MML index

    d) Chart arrangement

    e) 2 by D1 opposite colored candles (in string) form anytime following commerce entry has been made

    f) other approaches

Note the tracking method is trader dependent and will require lots of patience in allowing the trade to unfold.

Price won't always go in the direction you would like and indeed it might reverse after going a certain number of pips so it's sometimes necessary to simply close from the trade for a few profit or at a loss.

    Experience is required here.

    Basic Analysis

Since this system implements HTF trade setups a few basic analysis may enter the thread and this is most welcome from all traders.

    Some resources include the following:
    1. Central Bank addresses
    2. News feeds (Bloomberg, Reuters, Ran among other people)
    3. Economic Calendars (Banks, FF, myfxbook and countless others)

    Trade Duration

This will depend upon the movements of the marketplace on the traded instrument and the controls that are put in place.

It is not improbable that some transactions may run for many months!

This program is supposed to be very straightforward to use.

The concept is to get into a very long trend and stay in there for countless pips or as long as possible and have your trailing stop take you out.

The trader will have to exercise patience and permit transactions to run as far as possible.

If a trader makes a profit on a trade then they really have not done alot incorrect nevertheless, they might have foregone a greater chance.

    The Chart

    D1 (Longer term trading)

M15/M5 (Intraday = shorter duration trading)

Note 1: D1 is the primary trading method used within this thread.
Note 2: The M15/M5 MML System is a secondary trading system which may match the D1 QCS method usually inbetween setups.
Note 3: If applying both approaches at the exact same time on the exact same trading accounts you must account for complete risk% across all open trades!

QUAD GENERAL GUIDELINE FOR TRADE SETUPS

    1. FIND AN INSTRUMENT
SEARCH FOR A POTENTIAL QUAD CANDLE PATTERN (QCP) BY USING TEMPLATE:
    a) D1 TF ONLY or
    b) MML DASHBOARD (to loe several pairs in a glance) then individual D1 Chart

    2. IF INSTRUMENT IS NOT A MAJOR LOOK AT RELATED MAJORS ON D1 Chart
    a) Example CHFJPY (Get D1 Chart for both USDCHF and USDJPY)
    b) Check Correlation Table (Daily, Weekly, and Monthly)
    http://www.myfxbook.com/forex-market/correlation

    3. CHECK FUNDAMENTALS
(before you have a trade you must have a worldwide bias management Up, Down or Neutral)
    a) forexsoutheast.asia Economic Calendar
    https://www.forexsoutheast.asia/gene...ssion/30-.html
    b) News sites (purpose is to be as marketplace aware as possible, this is ongoing)
    Reuters
    http://www.reuters.com/news
    http://www.reuters.com/finance/currencies
    Bloomberg
    https://www.bloomberg.com/markets
    https://www.bloomberg.com/markets/currencies

    4. CHECK QCP SETUP LOCATION
    a) Chart arrangement immunity and/or service levels
    b) Fibonacci Ratios (38.2 to 88.6 and extension ratios 127.2 and 161.8)
    c) Harmonic completions (ABCD or AB=CD patterns)
    d) Key Handles (check to see where price now is trading depending on these price levels)

    5. CHECK QCP CANDLESTICK TYPE (SQCP and LCQP; short and long Quad Setups)
    a) reversal type candlestick patterns following a lengthy upward or downward tendency
    b) look for piercing or rejection of a Particular candle type in an Integral MML zone
    c) contemplate lower TF analysis within the QUAD
    d) consider the quality of the modifiion candle pattern
    e) consider the comparative ranges involving the D1 candles of a Quad Candle Pattern

    6. CHECK THE FOLLOWING
    a) Day of Week an entry is very likely to be created (eg if Friday not advisable, consider weekend threat)
    b) Proximity to high impact news and the anticipated impact on a projected entry to the industry
    c) Swap (check to determine whether the pair has positive or negative carry swap, and this adds up over multiple weeks)
    d) Verify the Stop and TP places make sense
    e) Know your possible maximum loss on a given trade
    f) Know how you are going to trail the trade (ATR method, move SL to BE pips are X_pips, S R etc)
    g) LOOK FOR ANY REASON WHY THE TRADE SHOULD NOT BE ENTERED (is why strong enough to make you not create an entry, decide the risk dependent on the reason for possible rejection of a trade)
    h) ASK OTHER TRADERS FROM THE THREAD IF THEY CAN THINK OF REASONS WHY you shouldn't TAKE A GIVEN TRADE, CONSIDER THEIR REASONS AND MATCH IT TO YOUR OWN THINKING.

    7. Apply sound Risk and Trade Management techniques
(continually be clear about what you stand to lose on a given trade as a % of account).

    Fundamental Check List:

    1. Swap Short (or Long)
    2. Distribute
    3. Quad Short (or Long) Pattern (QSP) confirmed
    4. Quality of QSP (candlestick patterns, harmonic completion zones and Fibs as appropriate to the specified graph)
    5. Loion of the QSP to Chart Structure (up high, in the Center or elsewhere)
    6. Loion of the QSP to MML zones (near extreme MMLs or elsewhere)
    7. SL place
    8. TP place
    9. Reward to hazard ratio
    10. Is it true that the R:Hybrid does it offer at least a 1 to 1 and fit in with PA that is current.
    11. Check related major set D1 Charts (what can these graphs inform you about the set going to be traded if its a cross)
    12. D1 Entrance Candle (try to get in at a greater price to decrease SL, so an entry later in the day eg London or NY Open might be a good idea)
    13. Since the trade or the D1 Entrance Candle is invalid, entry must occur on the same day.
    14. Fundamental orientation of the respective currencies.
    15. Risk management (appropriate size matched to SL per specified symbol; what do you stand to lose if your SL is struck as a % of their account)
    16. Trade management (how will you handle the open place, future information impacting negatively on your open place etc)
    17. Trade Setup Risk Rating (Class 1 to 3; Just how do you genrally feel about this setup: Good, Ok or stressed it'll neglect)
    18. A sense of uncertainty that is total may mean passing on the trade entirely.
    19. Continual market consciousness (economic and political and any other kind likely to affect the progress of your trade)
    20. Trader Discretion (you make all the decisions, you choose to analyse, evaluate, place or not put an order on the current market, be responsible!)

Note: This is only a simple guide and is by no means complete, it might be altered and improved upon in future updated versions.

    ADVANCED GANN TRADE SETUPS

Gann analysis might also be put on the D1 Quad-MML trade setups for much greater confluence.

    TRADE CLASS RANKINGS:

    Class 1 Entrance (Top Rating)

Quad or MML or Quad MML

    Settings:
D1 [P=64; MMP=0; Stepback=0] on the supplied MML indior accessible inside the zip folder attached here in Article 1.

    Price Action before entry:
Aggressive PA to the extreme zone followed by exhaustion/strong rejection candle(s).

    Entrance:
Extreme Zone entry 8/8 to 2/8 or 0/8 to -2/8
Quad asks a rolling over price and the completion of a Quad (4 candle layout with 2 bearish/2 bullish or 2 bullish/2 bearish D1 candles)
MML can be taken after exhaustion candle finishes but entry must occur inside the extreme zone
Lower TF analysis documented prior to the fact that reveals the entry timing to the trade was believed.
Friday wasn't used as an entry day (due in part to weekend openings and the added risk attached to using no control over the trade at this time)

    Trading Variables:
Considered place of the installation on a zoomed out graph
Longer term support and resistance levels
Fibonacci retracement ratios and extentions or expansions
Harmonic 1 to 1 completions using ABCD or AB=CD patterns which finish inside the Extreme Zones
Fundamentals believed and either a sentimental or longer term bias is implemented

    Ignored Articles:

Any trade installation that appllies or tries to employ MAs, RSI, MACD, Stochastics, CCI or other similar kind lagging signs = IGNORE CHART .

A 'trader' who posts a graph called an Ignore Chart will be given 1 warning to delete the post and they could be ignored permanently .

    IMPORTANT:

My egy is to employ trading knowledge in a simple but powerful level so all can follow along with trade the QUAD CANDLE SYSTEM.

The gained knowledge from the above is to assist a trader to form an anticipation of where price is very likely to proceed then based on how price reacts look to take trades on a daily time period, handle the trade throughout, employ sound risk managementand shield any floating profit and profit as many pips as possible on a longer term time period.

I don't endorse the work of any other person or entity and some other advice in the form of sites or links is for eduional purposes only.

I do thank the coder(s) of the MML index and some other coding which could possibly be used in this thread.

Traders are expected to conduct thier own due diligence and when trading live in the market be aware of all the risks involved and also the distict possibility that not only is your capital at risk but the losses might also exceed the original deposit.

FX retail trading is very much different to FX institutional trading.

As an FX retail trader the chances of being consistently successful or successful in general are heavily stacked against the trader.

A trader should not risk more capital than what they are willing to lose and such a loss would not impact heavily in their lifestyle.

Maintain an open mind and recall the system seeks longer term entries with a generally larger pip count, meaning the setups require longer time intervals to unfold as the market plays out its own average rollercoaster type trajectories of price punctually.

If a trader seeks very brief term trading type trades then this thread might not be for you however, an intraday MML trading system employing the M15/M5 MML platform has been developed but it should be noted that this system is considered greater risk with possibly much more losses than the primary trading egy namely, D1 Quad-MML Strategy.

Show respect to your fellow traders and also be mindful that this is an global community of traders.

The aim of which should be focussed towards facilitating the progress of trading knowledge.

    TRADING LIVE PROGRESS:

Provided on TE and myfxbook to keep it real.

I recommend that enthusiastic pupils provide a TE or myfxbook in live or demo mode to track their trading performance.

Myfxbook, TE, FXBlue, Fundseeder and other trading analytical type links currently in action are as follows:

The Swissquote fun account (or can it be !)

End of month results as follows:

Regrettably the account will end mid December when the contest ends.

I have no plans to try to acquire it ... purely exercising some trading.

Note the trading does not follow the intraday MML method but instead HTF D1 Quad-MML system with briefer opportunistic trades.

Well as consistently OAPDave I love your participation.

The sole true advantage is buried within the trader.

Retail FX traders make up maybe 5% of the entire market concerning average longer duration volumes so not really noticeable in any way.

What taste do you have, if some one of having the ability to overlay 2 P values or cases through the MML indior ?

For instance, overlay 32 onto 64 or with 128 onto 64 etc etc, such as different TFs D1, W1 and MN all observable on precisely the same chart ?

    Hows that noise.

Looking at the chart, which will be a good one being the Daily I'd only suggest to have the stop under the 75.500.

But I know your take on risk enjoying with lots so it is your call.

Lets see price hit another higher MML on the daily installation.

    Nice chart !

Great move .... Price is having difficulties breaking over the 77.500 degree so locking at BE pips is sound commerce management.

Nice to see that you exercising plenty of patience on this commerce.

You could eventually become a D1 Quad trader afterall ...

    Way to go !

    Hi All,
I arrived back here after a loong break and found enormous progress here and I must say am really impressed.
Good Work MM. Thumbs Up for you.
I also actually enjoy the concept of a controlled competition, it is going to make all participants stick into the method/system.
I have to also state your method is waaay older in regards to trading platform, plogy, direction etc
and it smoothly blends two distinct methods of trading into one while still properly blending all other trading angles into it - fundamentals, harmonics, PA, Levels
with no iota of confusion into the mind.
I must submit that this method is practically all-encompassing. Good Job.
Do not be dismayed about the quietness of this ribbon, threads that will flourish onforexsoutheast.asiaactually need some quiet or else you get frued by simply anyone dumping rubbish here and you having to create a long list of ignored members that subsequently begin to poor mouth you etc etc.. You know what I mean.
I would like to join in the competition once it begins by Jan2018 and actually do hope there is not any limitation on account size as I enjoy building very tiny accounts up and yes with Daily Charts.
    Enough Already
    Best Regards,
    T
EDIT: I loaded all the mandatory indi's and template(s). Looking fine but can the Instrument changer have a modifiion for consumer input where one can choose which Instruments to display. I like to put Instruments/Pairs in egories and store templates to them. I checked for something but could not find it.
