Bit of an opportunity here to get a volatility expansion play with the USDCHF following the range day on the 4 July.

THIS IS NOT A RECCOMENDATION TO TRADE JUST A JOURNAL OF MY TRADES

This week was not really a stellar one, but we're still made $376.36USD nett involving the 2 trades above including rollover.

We have made $600.58USD per contract in July so far or 3% in an account value of $20,000.

Because you can see this system is really easy (and boring, I know)

This is the USDJPY trade which I posted on July, 04 2007 06:44 PM on this thread.

I will trail this commerce with a 50ema about the 1hr charts, and close this trade out at the conclusion of today.

Have you ever considered to use the system but during market seesions that are inactive for the pair and on a lesser time frame? Typically I think there is more likelyhood of a range to happen at these times unless the news creates sentiment. Perhaps get out 30-60 minutes before session starts that are busy. It is only an idea. I haven't backtested this or anything.

I would have to step down from 18 holes to 9, although the system will still work.

Hi Mongoose. Its embarrassingly straightforward. I enjoy during tendencies price averts the MAs, thus not investing through times not suited to some egy. Can I ask how you picked the stop values. An optimization test ran and the value for the return was the same the one you published.

    Regards,

    SilverB
