Thread: Automatic trading systems

  1. #1
So, this part is new to me. Are there systems that I am able to place onto my mt4 and they will auto execute trades through the day? Based on certain indiors?
I guess this is where people discuss the holy grail methods since its earning money without doing any work (but they dont exist lol)

Are these systems coded from scratch? . . Is that has been these .mq4 downloads are? And just how can you implement them? . I just havent got alot of info about auto trading. Can there be a readup on how/ walk through kind of deal?

    Any help is much appreciated.

It becomes hard when looking at this pic with a 3-diget currency (still the exact same broker ). picture What pip value do I must input backtest to symbolize the \actual \ 0.5 spread displayed in this pic? When...
once we discuss 5-digits broker, that also means that JPY pairs are 3-digits instead of 2. So spread 5 at the backtester is 0.5.

Just about any system can be automated but most such systems will fail. But that's one method of learning. Just don't bet the house on it and also be certain to use a good programmer like Ferru who understands your struggles.

ok. so basically. You've got your set of guidelines. And also you code them to a trading system. Also all day/week will be traded by it as long as theres money and also the guidelines are satisfied.

I understand that most anything can be coded, except the discretion used by the trader.
I could take years for anybody to code that, even your own. I feel that is the reason why most codes
    fail.

As discretion can't be coded, makes the type of egies for automatic trading limited to
    mathematical, statistical etc..

    Exactly.

Absolutely not. When an EA is not profitable has nothing to do with the code... but the egy .

When the EA admire the egy principles, the outcomes will be associated with the egy not the code.

I think we're in precisely the exact same page Ferru, I just expressed myself wrong.
What I was attempting to say was:: the egies that wind up being coded fail because
all desire discretion... and one trader discretion can't be coded. Basically all egies
that rely in one indior require discretion to make them profitable.

Thus, from my point of view, the egies for automatic trader must be wholly different in character
from those that most traders use manually. Just statistical and mathematical egies don't require discretion.

I get your coder point of view... for you a code fails/is bad is when for some reason don't execute the orders according to the principles.
But most trader blame the coder. . right?

Eas can work good. You simply need to think out of the box. I wouldn't even trade without ea since I think of this as a sport that is to play with .If your in trading to get rich quick - you probably are in for a surprise. I'd learn to code or don't bother with a coder - would be my advice.
