Thread: Input parameters for quotStochastic Momentum Indexquot indior?

  1. #1
Which would be the normal input parameters for Stochastic Momentum Index indior?
Which areInput parameters:Q - the period by which the Stochastic Momentum is calculated non - period of 1-st EMA, implemented to Stochastic Momentum s - span of the 2nd EMA, applied to the results of the 1st smoothing un - span of the 3rd EMA, applied to the results of the 2nd smoothing

    I've observed
    1) 2, 8, 5, 5
    2) 5, 20, 5, 3
    3) 13, 25, 2, 5
    4) 12, 2, 3, 9
    5) 10, 3, 3, 10
    6) 14, 9, 9, 3
    7) 10, 20, 30, 3
    ...
    and so on?

    What is your parameters?

What parameters would you recommend and why?

    Thank you!

Check this (that is from William Blau, the inventor of SMI)
