I would say it's to do with volatility. GBP/USD is significantly more volatile than EUR/USD, and contains bigger spread.Originally Posted by ;

Same reason why 300K-1m in volume on an equities discuss will cost you more versus trading, say, Apple, that has approximately 36m per day in quantity.
