Thread: EA Trailing Stop Question

  1. #1
I have a quick question concerning an EA that I'm running. Within the EA, I have a 35 pip trailing stop. My problem, is that if I open a position , the EA nevertheless compels the trailing stop on that guide place. I've designated my Magic Number, as well, but no chance. How do I get my EA running, without it affecting my established trades?

    Any hints are appreciated.

    GirlFlyer is right.
Likely the EA doesn't pick its trades by magicNo. . Thus you have to insert an if statement to check if the chosen order is really one opened by the EA.

Figure out how to modify the EA to ensure it only trades with the orders it opens. If the EA modifiys all positions in your account regardless of how they were opened, then it isn't written properly. It should only change its own trades.
