I have a hectic EA. I would like to get MANY more than 200 transactions available at one time.
Using FXDD, I notice trading ceases at 200 trades. Is this MT4 thing? Or is it a broker thing?

Hello everyone,
I'd like to know whether there's a way how I can restrict the maximum number of available lots in my MT4, ie for example I want the total number of lots does not exceed 4 standard lots.
That is only because I have an EA that continues to place trades in precisely the exact same way until it closes them all in total profit. If there's a large move in the opposite direction of the open transactions, the EA will continue to start transactions with increasing lot size, the EA puts a 0.1 commerce and if it does not close in profit, it opens a 0.2 commerce, then 0.3, 0.4, etc.
If there's no limit and the market does not retrace, it can give rise to a margin call in my account.
Hope you understand my purpose and hopefully someone can help me.
Regards,
Sandro
Every broker has max lot dimensions for a single trade. Is 200.Originally Posted by ;
If you need more you have to start more trades. For example, 400 lots = two trades x 200 lots.
As long as you have the required margin you'll be able to start as many lots as you wish. Limits are for one trade, not for a total open lotsOriginally Posted by ;
Volume - yes.Originally Posted by ;
But the threadstarter asked (correct me if I am wrong) about the number of opened transactions (no matter their volume(s)). And this number is usually restricted.
Alpari UK has an open volume maximum limit on their micro account kind. It's 200K of base currency.
Thanks guys.
Yes I have confirmed with different brokers that most do place a limit to the number of greatest open-at-one-time trades.
FXDD for example have a 200 trades open limitation.
GoMarketAus don't have a limitation to open trades - but they said that if my EA hit them up more than 5,000 times every day, that they would speak to me about it.
Issue replied now, thx.
Unless the limit is assembled into the EA, there is not any way to limit the number of open lots before it strikes your margin limit. Look for a parameter such as MaxLots or MaxOpenTrades or even MaxLevels. Many EAs have this capability and some do not.
