Saying this for Ages! Retail Forex is a joke. Treat it as a pastime and your fruion level can return? When I exchanged with a 'Broker' that moved 'dim' (no method to contact), I wouldnt wait 10 seconds to bond.

That could be appropriate but they have problems which are distinct and not necessarily refered to connection problems.
I use mt4 on all and each broker I have traded with. I havent seen such matter as Ic markets. They cut you when there are price movements, of course that's when you're losing or making money ! It is not a broker to trade.
DonxYz mentioned me at a post and pepperstone. Pepperstone have completed similar tricks 2-3 times to me , but generally it is phenomenon and it lasts for about 1-2 minutes when it has been seen by me. Ic markets cuts your connection for 30-60 minutes, no support . Just your money in a hole ! I am not defending pepperstone, I avoid them at any cost and come here to state that IC are absolute shit ! I'll ! About fair brokers, I doubt you will find some, brokers are in the business to make money, but they must do it ! Bet against clinets, do anything you want, manage a publiion. However, you cant cut connection to live accounts for one hour every other day !

With a broker the only way to be profitable is to be blessed. I do not rely on LUCK for my trading , and I am not talking about no internet provider.

    Wow.. .again today.
    ?
Lotsa small TF traders may leave IC Markets because of this. Again I think those who trade off TFs that are large are not affected.

[quote=Don_xyZ;8538861]quote I traded with $30k (not with IC Markets) and I got telephone access to trade and by what they told me that this service is not right for every account holder along with your broker I'm guessing the minimum capital required must be $25k or beyond , yes? quote

Hi Don, Yes This broker has a minimum acct dimensions ($10k) and that's more to do with all the high level of regulation they come under that limits them from opening accounts in which this game is not suitable for the investor. I think anything and you may as well go down to the casino anyway. In terms of charts, there are a multitude of free online charting solutions I often use as an alternate.

As a separate point I love how $1k traders anticipate so much these days. Some here will recall 5 pt spreads and no charts apart from a weekly newspaper print out. Now it where do I get zero spreads, my charts are down, etc!!!!!!!!! I'm showing my age.

Yes Hyperion I do recall 5 pips spread on FXCM back in 2004, I traded with other broker and needed to deal with 8 pips spread n yes the weekly single page paper print out revealing the most recent scenario in my trading account lols.
    ?
I believe that it's the 1:1000 leverage that is keeping the dream alive. Heck I have seen some broker offering 1:3000 to keep up with the demand xD xD xD

Is anyone out there noticing a lot of freezing of this IC markets platform over the past couple of days?

IC had been very stable for quite a while but lately there are an increasing number of occasions when the platform freezes totally, sometimes for long periods.

I'm in the middle of the current freeze right now.

    Kind regards
    Robert
