Thread: Which of these Australia or New Zealand brokers?

Which of these brokers are worth a try; Axitrader, PFD nz ICmarkets, Darwinex, FXPIG, Tickmill Dukascopy?

Preferably a broker from Australia or New Zealand please since I reside 'down under'

Getting into trading I'm searching for a reputable regulated broker with low spreads(for scalping long term trades) minimal slippage. Would any of you traders be able to recommend some from the above please or any other decent one out there that's not a bucketshop?

I'm aware that most brokers are merely wolves in sheep clothing. . I've gone to have a look at reviews on most brokers and they all appear to have reviews that make me wish to avoid trading.

Well, here is hoping I will find some fantastic guie or recommendation from a number of you on this forum.

Or am I better off considering trading futures which has better regulation?

I'd appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Pepperstone. I trade from New Zealand. I've been with them for about three years now. Spreads are reduced, execution is. Customer service is responsive and courteous.

Between AU and NZ regulators. AU is stricter, recent modifiions in ASIC regulations dictate that brokers need insurance coverage on customers funds. (require CS to ship a copy of their insurance policy).

With regards to slippage and spread and execution pricing, nothing is perfect. It's difficult to tell because it mostly depends on market conditions/aggregator. One that slip today, might not slide tomorrow. Same thing goes for spread.
U might want to open cent/demo accounts with all the brokers have shortlisted and use this to find the one that is quite consistent to other brokerages. https://tradeproofer.com/

    Hey Moyes,

Just beware that although on the surface you may think it is best to trade with a local NZ regulated broker, there are severe problems with how loose your regulations are and that basically anyone that wishes to open a brokerage can.

At , we have a large number of New Zeland clients on our publiion trading from across the dutch and enjoying the peace of mind that comes with ASIC regulation. Definitely open up a few ECN demo accounts and do some research on spreads, slippage and whether these items change when you scale up your trading size.

    Good luck!

Not every broker is going to have an insurance coverage nonetheless. This business is going to have a year to comply with this new rule, I think starting from November 2016.
Wonder which broker has this insurance in place at this time?

International Prime Au remains the broker. Axitrader can close even demo account after one month without notice. Pepperstone closes demo account after one month, however, detect. Funny brokers

    Hey ,

Most brokers set their demos to die after 30 days of usage. This motivates the client remain in touch if they want to reset for another 30 or at least to go live.

In case you're looking for a non-expiring demo account, have a look at our https://www.vantagefx.com/forex-trad...unt-unlimited/ here. Open an live account without having to be reset and you'll be able to demo trade indefinitely.

Thank you for response. I will try yours. 'm a swing trader. Market can fad for months, as you known. If brokers can shut demonion where they do not gain, what would happen when it is $ $ where they can benefit? This means withdrawing profit will probably be Harder than robbing a Central bank

Rather humorous remark currency trading is quite bad method of learning (so 30 days is sufficient to check terms), you understand far more on actual account because of actual market conditions. On demo account there are no slippages, orders do not impact market, so it is really better to learn on account even with 0,01 lot.
