Thread: Latency or slippage in execution on bigger lot size

  1. #1
I had been wondering if anybody has been in a position to execute lots like 10 lots on a pair like eur/usd on ecn brokers like pepperstone or ICMarkets without latency or slippage compared to a conventional lot size like 0.1 lot?

Drolph is correct, you can't blame one for not sharing his view in public.
After all the forum is crowded with trolls.
I will second that he isn't looking to gain financially.
Traders make money by trading, trolls make money off newbies.

I cant speak for those 2 brokers however 10 lots must be easily implemented since the banks usually stream that size into retail as regular.

If you are consistently then you're being gamed.

OK for spread you will probably get 0.3 -0.6 on eur/usd.
Anything less you will be b-booked.
There is absolutely not any problem with this but if you earn money the broker will then push you to STP and the true spread comes back to play
Commissions range from $1.50 per lot to $3.50 per lot
It depends on your turnover and you may probably haggle if you're doing some good size
make certain the broker is regulated and well capitalised.

    Good luck with your trading

Don't mislead people with half-truth arguments.
A low spread isn't strictly connected to the market-maker/ECN business kind of your broker. Generally ECN/STP contributes to floating spreads. However, the range depends upon the quantity and liquidity suppliers not the status of the order implementation inside your broker. On EURUSD u can have average spreads between 0.2-0.4 outside of heavy news like NFP and interest rate choices on several brokers.

It is more important to have a reliable broker with good standing, as even most ECN broker are allowed to b-book u. No connection to the spread needed. I would advise to check the spreads and verify candidates via FPA.

U can PM me, if u need my personal counsel.

Another claim far away from fact - just ask him I had by giving my advise based on experiences of a long trip of try and error to him.

On the other hand your argumentation just was misleading. Issue of fact.

10 Lot on EUR/USD is not large. It is just a thousand, peanuts in an ocean of cash, 1 pint of beer from an yearly output of all european breweries
That said, I can not speak for those two brokers but it's almost always a fantastic idea to select a proper broker and a better platform (compared to MT4).

I will not disclose my position size here but it's a multiple of 10 lots and I have traded these positions on average MT4 brokers too.
