Thread: Non-desk dealer that offer currency options?

  1. #1
Are there some non-desk dealers that offer currency choices? Recently, I have grown tired of fretting about stop losses. Buying an option would automatically limit me to premium loss, usually, market flutuates, a stop loss would close my position, but choices stay until it succeeds or decide to liquidate it.

    Hey,

I am doing a dangerous thing here by believing, BUT, I believe FXCM and Oanda perform ( Although I believe Oanda's are not TRUE options, hell possibly fxcm aren't either )....best wager, only goggle/web search currency options....probably receive a better response and more choices.

You def. Will find them thru the regulated currency brokers. . .RCG, PFG, Lind-Waldock....excetra, to name a few....lots more though...

    Check MB Trading Futures

If you dont understand how to properly trade choices, just buy choices. Selling choices are incredibly risky trades if you dont understand how to exchange them.

Yea I believe oanda's choices are just garbage. Any merchandise these marketmakers provide I no longer trust.

Futures dont have exactly the exact same downside risk control as options....thats beating the purpose

im really surprised theres no true ECN/NDD offering choices.

Can I receive a confirmation on currency options?

I've asked them regarding currency options thru chat, and they clearly said it was unsupported.

Btw, fxcm no more offers options. Http://www.fxcm.com/double-one-touch.jsp

    I question why:lol

It's possible to exchange vanilla currency options on CBOE via MB. The huge majority of FX options volume is traded OTC tho, even if it still on the phone. Butquite honestly, if you believe options are simpler, I believe you should think again, that they are much more complicated tools than a primitive spot transaction.

Well now im looking at the CME FX products and recnelty they offer american fashion fx alternatives OTC....this is awesome. I am able to trade thru any broker however, I dont understand exactly what the prices are exacly probably expensive.

Choices are quite complex for example all derivative instruments.

But I still think its more valuable to have this downside risk control. With place, I have loss. When I would rather pay like 10 pip superior on choices than put stop loss to 25 ~50 pip.

The CME cannot provide anything OTC by definition. .
Also I think you are discussing the spread, not just the top. Be certain you understand options before you exchange them! You need to know the mathematics, even if you want to trade solely with discretion. I will highly recommend Options, Futures and other derivatives from John Hull. This book is a work, each pupil of fin. It is read by Mathematics. (hint: look for an evaluation-copy on emule )

How can I link to CBOE thru MB Trading?

Could give me a link? Or some insight about how I can do this? I looked at CBOE's website, however they dont have currency vanilla options under their products for trading.

Why does not CME offer OTC? Doesn't it say so on their website?

At this time, all I want to do, would be to go long options, not write them. I can predict where the prices are going most of the time but I keep getting stopped out(I know quite well why). So if I can restrict my downside risk into the top paid on the option contract, and also have unlimited profit potential, I could do significantly better than today.
