Thread: Anyone trading live with ODL Securities and EFX Group?

  1. #1
    Dear all,

I'm pretty much new to the forum and after a month of research I decided to choose a ECN broker. Searching through some previous threads on ODL securities and EFX collection I have found that there are quite limited info on ODL securities so I'm starting a thread to hear your comments on them. About EFX group, aside from the long run by its employee (although useful, but you always want to hear from someone not from their business ), I found that there are almost nobody starting threads on EFX staff seeing their good or bad experience with them (unlike Oanda, FxSol, some other that you always watch new threads regarding them, bad or good,). Therefore, I would like to know if anybody trading live with ODL Securities and EFX group and what would you consider them please list their advantages and disadvantages, like

    1) Speed of execution
    2) Live experience with their spreads throughout volative times
    3) Honesty (any suspicious stop searches, platform freezes, delay implementation, etc)
    4) Other

Forum users using less than 80 articles or without a live account with them don't respond as I don't want to trigger any fake responses (thought I'm not saying there are some with these 2 companies but I've heard bad things about many such behaviour for a few different firms based on some thread within this forum).

Additionally, for ODL securities users, what are the minimum deposit requirements for opening an account now? I know they're using currenex/hotspotfxi, but do they operate a dealing desk too? Are there any good?

    Thanks.

I'm happy w/ ODL Prime but I woudn't use there retail platform in the event that you paid me.

The minute are diff for everybody there's not set rate so that the fee to exchange isn't a fixed rate. . It is what you can workout w/ them.

Or so are additional too GFT Prime MAN

    Hi Turbo and Darkstar,

Thank You for your reply. I believe most Currenex takes 25k deposit to begin from, and if there's absolutely no fixed amount as Turbo mentioned, do you mean you can begin with 10k but you want to pay a higher transaction cost? Though it's ECN, have you got any experience with stop searching? Do you guys open account with all the U.S or UK office and one is preferred?

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

Why not simply contact ODL, and receive all the answers to the basic questions . After armed with that information, you will be in a better place to ask questions on forums.

Just because somebody was able to open an account with 50K, also pays $20 per 1M around transaction, does not mean that is the benchmark for another person. It all depends on the way in which the bank sees you as a risk.

Do the first basic research . You will find out more information that you bargained with this manner.

    Cheers,
    K.
