Thread: One collective discussion for all brokers

Hello everybody, I utilize Metatrader 4 to my trading and a while ago this year I have experienced an issue where in my actual account, the machine time and prices only updates every 10 minutes, and this issue lasted for about 3 hours. It does not demone that there is No link in my Metatrader 4 program on the computer, and using it in my cellular phone it also showed those lags. This type of lag costed me some money as it happened after a Tier 1 figure. I on this occasion used a demo account from another broker, and it had been working just fine, while my live account with this broker was not functioning at all.

Yesterday again, and now, after ECB, BOE and the NFP, the server time is constantly 1 minute away from the actual market time, where tick charts a stalled and doesn't move at all, but suddenly they upgrade very harshly and lags again. Against, this lag costed me some money.

I first thought that perhaps it might be my connection's difficulty at the very first time where it happened, but today after experiencing the entire similar occasion again, I deemed that my broker seems to be having a few difficulties with their price feed and server. I have contacted them and they reiterate that there aren't any issues, but I can see it from my screen and it's certainly not possible for tick charts to not be volatile and be stalled with no movement after payrolls, therefore this is extremely weird, and I am certain that there is an issue with the server and not my link, as demo accounts on other brokers were functioning equally good.

Any idea why this happened, and what should I do, as I believe that I am unfairly treated as I have been subjected to the market without getting real time information in the broker through the platform. Another thing is that when I called up the customer service, they didn't even remind me that there was coping at the function that happened earlier this year, it was only when all of my positions had been stopped out when the connection resumed normal that the person said that there was a working platform through the telephone, is not this in some way negligence?

Any ideas man, since this is certainly very weird and should not happen. How shall I peruse this, some idea? Account is regulated by UK authorities.

It seems like your broker is having connectivity problems with their servers. Gaps in data flow like that can take place if a server failed, needed a hardware problem, or cables were cut into the datacentre housing their servers. Did you ask them?

    Hi Jafar,

I have spoken to them about it if it occurred earlier this season, they stated that they don't find a problem when I had been hoping to make them resolve it, then this customer support didn't even remind me that there is a dealing department that I could call to minimise my risk.

A few days ago under choppy environments, BOE, ECB and NFP, that occurred, and I showed them screenshots of this server time being one second delayed compared to this time of my pc and the entire world GMT time. The sever time was showing that it had been about the 50th minute, when it had been about the 51st minute. They stated that they are checking but there is no response from them as their IT department asserts that there is not any situation. But I have a complete screenshot demoning it is a moment late and that tick charts were stalled even after NFP, this forced me to close my positions with significant losses and pips dropped.

Let alone earlier this season, they ceased me out also when the platform regained.

What if I do some advice?

Rather not quote the broker's title, but it's really a very reputable broker, using a STP and bureau version, using routine 1 sell side banks, so what happened is very bizarre.

Yes it is ia five digit USD loss, their compliance officer really got very worried and called me about it, but their reimbursement that's lower spreads is not acceptable at all, I don't mind if you give me reduced spreads, however this really is a totally different aspect. Like last time, I shorted the GBP later BOE, however they had been non stop back, this forced me to shut my place, I wanted to shut at 1.5080, however they lagged again and prices jumped to 1.51 again, so I lost 20 pips for NO reason at all. I'm very pissed off and I'm not happy, there is a difference of a four digit loss.

    Any ideas?
