Thread: Looking for a decent broker?

  1. #11
I'm in the exact same position and seeking to discover a new UK controlled broker. Most seem to be MM spread gambling brokers and not many ECN brokers.

Narrowed it down to FxPro and FX UK. Both have been around some time and seem legit STP/ECN. includes a Raw account plus commission but not certain on the spreads.

Edit: It states of FPA which canceled trades of alot of clients due to an EA they had been using this took advantage of price delays.

    Really difficult now...

Appears that the things are draining out, but maybe we will see 2 or 1 brokers heading bust still.

I think I will wait patiently for a while, like 1 or 2 weeks and then proceed on to open actual account. For now its search and demonion playing.

But still my eyes are on FxPro for now. Any disadvantages for them? They seem to be good.

I'm still looking, ActivTrades includes a bunch of bad reviews relating to inadequate implementation times.

As someone whos only just begun to look into Foreign Exchange I find the reviews of Foreign Exchange brokers hugely contrasting. The majority reporting X broker to be a scam although the other 50% claim broker X to become decent.

Mmm, Oanda does not make sense, first of all is the MM, so you cannot make profits on the longterm (as your profits are their losses, the relationship would become a bit weird after a while).
Second, have 50x leverage, that is what I'm running away from.

Activtrades additionally I've read they are implementing (not sure about this, I may be wrong, just rumors) 50x leverage same as fxcm, so I forget about these too.

I mean, the only reason I would like to run away from fxcm is their new margin requirements, aside from that, fxcm remain the very best fx broker for me personally.

Anyhow, HiddenGap suggested Futures, that is quite interesting I never heard of this before, I will look in to it, thank you!

    And invite you teb63 too!

I must state right in this moment the winner is xtbUK, they also offer stocks of the UK,US,IT,ES,PL stock trades (approximately 400 tools in total), so a huge selection of markets, the majority with tradable spreads, but not really interesting for me personally (I still continue to prefer the 24h/24 fx market), anyway just shared here in this post.
