    Fantastic question, any thoughts?

I am just studying trading, but I am getting into the game late. I understand to begin with a demo account, establish my leg function is worth, and then proceed to actual money in the future. However, it wouldn't be long until I would have a 100k account (I've been saving and investing long term for years, so I could come up with 100k right now).

So if I am successful with 100k, would I then change brokers, and if so, where would I proceed? Fidelity? Would I wish to get out of Forex, or is Forex still a trade with a account?

I would recommend Oanda for any beginning trader. The leverage is low so that you don't deplete your account too fast. That said, nobody will get all the pips all of the time. The key to being a fantastic trader is to be consistent and follow your own rules.
A broker that urge is EFXGroup or MBTrading. Pip spread is obviously low. Go into http://www.forexbastards.com and see the reviews of brokers, signals, appliions, etc..

The pip spread isn't necessarily low at EFX either. Max spread for cable on the NFP which just got released was 12, in comparison to Oandas 15. Of course, Oanda revealed 15 to get a few minutes whereas in EFX it had been just for some ticks.

Yup, that is why I stay with them. No point making lots of money and then the broker go bust or run with the money.

Too bad they've got no trailing stop though....so sophised traders won't enjoy them whatsoever.

Duh! Any platform is going to elevate the spread on the NFP. It is this month's biggest statement. If you go into the trade before the statement, you will not be effected with the pip spread. If you examine the announcements, you'd have the ability to find out which direction it's likely to go before the statement. DO YOUR HOMEWORK! It is not rocket science. Find out how to trade a system rather than the news. To each his own, do what makes you comfortable.

I understand about the rules to find one, but I need references, such as you do if you go find your new bank. You dont read about it. You listen to other peoples and their expertise ...
