It appears Hotspot USA has just upgraded their page. It now says $3 Per USD 100k (not $3 per base currency unit, such as before), which looks like exactly the same as at Hotspot Europe now.

Mini-trading seems to be cheaper at the Hotspot EU now, because the USA branch charges a flat fee of $3 for all trades below 100k.

Not sure if that applies to entrance level accounts...

No it does not. If your account deposit is under 250K your deposits sit with Duka and there is no guarantee. More than 250K you can do a bank guarantee. I am not sure this works with Duka but I guess you need to deposit a specific amount together, like 100K and your bank would have to ensure another 150K. If your over 50M they will give you a credit line via which bank you decide to PB with. Meaning Duka will give up all trades to your PB and web your rankings at the end of the day. However, I dont know why anybody with 50M would select Duka. You could do exactly the same with EBS, FXAll, RTFX, Bloomberg or others that in my opinion have deeper liquidity afterward what Duka can offer. Plus it would most likely be more economical.

I believe he meant to state are safer, are not any safer. As the link shows, they offer you a number of the greatest retail protection around.

That is unfortunate, they were the sole notional-based commission retail ECN, and it was surely a fantastic rate for GBP pairs. In any case, $30/M remains far better compared to50/M.

Hey there buddy! Yes I do have these problems sometimes, though maintaining the quotes conducting 24/5 means no need for backfills.

That's correct, they're safer then other brokers. A forex account or all of your forex accounts together with IB are secure up to 1M per customer. Meaning if you have 5 accounts and you've got a million in each account, just 1M of your total 5M is protected. Still the best I've seen so far on a retail level.
