Thread: Account History Viewing Problems - Interbank FX

I enjoy IBFX but I hope they'll change their mind on this. If you don't enjoy the new account background coverage please notify them. Maybe if a variety of their live account holders register their dissatisfaction they'll amend the coverage. Please Note the policy has only been enacted on several accounts at this point. I believe older accounts. The background has been removed from platform accessibility on my accounts which are more than two years old. Those accounts won't show me some trades that closed before February 1st., 2008 as of the date of this post.

You can no longer long print 12 months of account history as one report. You have to print out year one month.

They simply show the last 4 completed months on the platform. The rest was eliminated. They told us to utilize the Web Account - Transaction History attribute instead.

The following is from their email:

Upon completion of the above steps, you'll be able to see your Transaction History. After logging in: Underneath the 'Trading Account Related' section, click 'My Trade Accounts' Select the 'View Transaction History' alternative Enter a Starting Date and an Ending Date, hit 'Search' (Notice: background newer than 4 months will be in the trading platform but what before that'll be substituted with one entry, with the comment Balance Forward) 6. Exporting your Account HistoryYou can export your Trading Account History in Formats. Click 'Export Results' Select the format of your choice And click 'Ok'
It is inconvenient but I could live with this.

I moved into the internet site and entered the dates I wanted. I received the next error message:

They now need us to publish out a year 1 month at a time. Then you would have to stitch it together. It isn't difficult but takes some time. I think this policy is unacceptable. I review a running 6 month and 12 month report every few weeks for many accounts.

I contacted them to see when I misread the principles. Here's what I had been told in the past part of the conversation. The customer service person's number was removed by me since I forgot to tell him I was planning to post his reply.

Client Services: to free up performance on the platform a number of this background was transferred to the internet
you: Ok, but how can I print my weekly report from 08/12/07 to the current date?
Client Services: So you have selected the date of 08/12/07
you: I publish reports at a pdf document every week or two for post on forums. I start with 08/12/07 on one account
Client Services: To the beginning date and the end date as today
    you: yes
Client Services: Did you export as a CSV or an HTML?
    You: probably html
you: I might like to see more than 31 times also as
Client Services: You should be able to set the dates you are searching for
you: I get the next message
you: Please input valid dates for the beginning and ending dates. These cannot be more than 31 days apart or before 1/1/2004.
Client Services: Today you'll have to take action as a month at a time never as one giant report
Client Services: So enter from 8/12/2007 into 8/31/2007
you: I know how to do this
you: I can not feel that there's not any way to print a complete year or portion of annually
Client Services: I Will pass the suggestion along
    you: thank you
Client Services: You are welcome. In case you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact us anytime. We are here for you 24 hours a day, Sunday afternoon through Friday afternoon.
    You: Thanks for your time
I'll feel a little stupid for posting this when I find out my account is among a handful covered by this policy.

I needed to check, everthing look good on my end, I don't think im cover under this policy, b.t.w. the only background data I missing on my platform is when I switch out there MT3 TO MT4.

I think they initiated the trading record limit because a few IBFX clients are serious grid traders, occasionally having tens-of-thousands of orders in a quick period of time. Each time those traders log into, all that history needs to be uploaded into their platforms, which was one cause of this commuiions bottlenecks which IBFX was undergoing. So, the trading record limit has been instituted to help decrease commuiions bottlenecks arising out of this problem.

Like most of market manufacturers if you do not scalp and trade news and have a good platform then you'll be fine.

Which makes perfect sense as a temporary measure until they can increase server capacity/bandwidth. What does not make sense is the inability to get a years worth of history at once from your internet account. Surely that shouldn't impact trading accounts.

I wish to thank anyone who phoned in and complained about having to print out history one month at a time.

IBFX has shifted it so you can print out your history. I thank them.

The following problem is that there is no choice to print out history together with the magical amount for every transaction. This makes multiple years of EA testing worthless for folks like me. Hopefully this will bother a few other individuals . It's unfortunate for us that they do not have the server capacity to let us access this information on this platform. It's so much easier printing out two decades of transactions by an EA on one pair using a script. I guess it is great news for them that they're so popular.
