Thread: AZB Price Action

    I know this post may be discounted but I only want to try my fortune.

    Because this system talks about trading using EMA and Stoch, I want help on clarifiion of these configurations involved. Below are the details:

    Topic: RE: Stoch setting to the H1

    Hi,

    I just use standard configurations on CQG. I use the indior only to look for divergence.

    CQG configurations below.

    Both the Quick Stochastic and Slow Stochastic may be displayed.
    When Slow Stochastic is chosen, the machine internally calculates the Quick Stochastic as described above, however, only the Slow%K and Slow%D lines have been displayed on the screen.
    Slow%K - Is equal to the Speedy%D.
    Slow%D - Is a Moving Average of Slow%K values. The default for Slow%D is a Smoothed 3 Period Moving Average.
    Users may select between the First and the Basic Algorithms. Generally, the simplified will be more responsive to price changes. The formulations for each are:

    Initial
    K:= (MA(Close(@)- LoLevel(@,10),Smo,3)/ MA(HiLevel(@,10)- LoLevel(@,10),Smo,3))*100;
    D:= MA((MA(Close(@)- LoLevel(@,10),Smo,3)/MA(HiLevel(@,10)-LoLevel(@,10),Smo,3)),Smo,3)*100;
    Simplified
    K:= MA(((Close(@)- LoLevel(@,10))/ (HiLevel(@,10)- LoLevel(@,10))),Smo,3)*100;
    D:= MA(MA(((Close(@)- LoLevel(@,10))/ (HiLevel(@,10)- LoLevel(@,10))),Smo,3),Smo,3)*100;
    Original Algorithm = [Moving Average (Final Range)]/[Moving Average (Total Range)]

    Simplified Algorithm = Moving Average [(Final Range/Total Range)]
    Final Range = Close -- Range Minimum
    Total Range = Range Maximum -- Range Minimum

    My question is: does the current default Stoch by MT4 allows the Simplified Algorithm?

    If Yes, What's Going to be the configurations for% K Period,% D Period and Slowing?

    If No, do I want a totally new custom made indior for the Simplified Algorithm? Can anyone write and supply?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Was wondering why you don't trade this on a 4H TF. Seems as if you could make scads of pips and you would not have to be up at night just as much.

    What's CQG? Is it an indior or a system?

    BTW... I suggest you not to make things so complied. I think simplicity functions better in this business.

    H4 is a bit too long for me. I love to ch more moves ... right. . This system operates on H4 might be better but since the EMA is part of this system, I have to degrade my risk/reward ratio since H4 candle's high-low exceed 100 pips sometimes. . So naturally, I will have to choose smaller place size to reduce the risk.

    This way I will have to wait more while I earn less profit because of smaller transaction volume. Apart from; If you're worrying about more untrue PA signs around EMA from chart comparing to H4, I will have to say every time period including H4 gives false signs and because of candles reduction is given by it.

    I have checked all time frames to get a 1 year period to be sure about the highest profit each time period could produce. Finest time frames are 30M and H1 but since you understand 30M has rather bad resting time since you are going to have to check the chart every 30 minutes (of course if you don't need to miss good signs ) and also it has more whipsaw candles it practically makes me totally nervous trading in this time period. . I have calculated all of them.

    Also in the topic of MM, If we have stopped out 4 or 5 occasions on 30M chart (because of more untrue PA signs ) 25 pips average reduction for every position, it will create -125 reduction while on H1 because candle stick patterns have greater weight and more reliable, it might become 1 or 2 time false signs, with more or less average pip reduction as previously (you can check it out on chart). . so . . 2 times (we say -30 pips loss) on H1 is better than 5 occasions -25 reduction on 30M time period

    I Have calculated them but if you believe there's anyway to reduce the risk whilst trading on H4 timeframe when retaining the profit greater or less at precisely the exact same level as H1 I'll love to hear how/.

    Cheers

    CQG is a service provider of charting and proprietary indiors like Tom DeMark's indiors.

    Understood.

    What I submitted was the formula for default (Slow) Stochastic provided by MT4. Additionally a formula for a simplified version (Quick ) Stochastic. I only wish there are coders willing to code simplified version of this Stochastic...... or the configurations for a Quick Stochastic.

    Anyhow, thanks for everything.

    There's a separate thread onforexsoutheast.asiacalled Platform Tech, with a lot of Coders and Specialists in MT4, CQG, Tradestation, Ninja etc..

    I suggest you find someone there.

    Hope that helps.

    Has anyone done the calculation on what EMA you would use to be equal to some 10EMA? Thanks

    Edit: I ment to say 70EMA

    Why BUY1 if there is not an Oversold zone?

    Or do you have other tips?

    Thanks in advance for your opinions. And my apologies if my question is not apparent.

    Dude
    Really I don't have some experience in trading equities, bonds, stocks or futures at all. I began using FX. . So I can not give any suggestions regarding es-mini especially in regards to money management.

    The motion patterns of those instruments are totally different and as far as I understand they are not trending markets as FX is... they trade mostly in range manner. So if this is true, then I believe any EMA system would create more reduction than profit. This system works better in trending markets like FX.
