In my understanding the odds are against you on any broker, so unsure what to do about that... Oanda sounds intriguing but they do not utilize metatrader so a basket egy is out.

    Due Charvo,

That is precisely what I supposed to do... make it more testable.

Saidar, a basket egy isn't outside... why can you say ? Oanda has an API aswell.

I wonder if anyone knows any brokers a) have a large pool of traders offering very good liquidity for trader vs trader just like I think Oanda does... or b) a good broker that doesn't take another side of their client's trades before passing it to someone else (may be the bank or may be an additional market maker)... purpose is someone is going to produce the market. . The banks will never allow you to take a position with no being hedged unless the in the interbank market. So I'd rather have someone hedge my position out of my broker so that it would make it harder for them to screw me .

This is merely thinking long term... ofcourse at the short term you can earn money ahead of the broker finds a way to begin nudging you towards larger DD.

Apologies did not know they had an API, I only used their online platform before.

From my knowledge Oanda has the largest proportion of profitable traders therefore I think that it would be helpful to go with them if we could work out how to execute their API.

Any ideas about how best to do it?

Google fxpsyder. They work with Oanda.

I see Oanda is just 50:1 leverage and the platform costs about $100 a month.

Yes thats true but in fact 50:1 is more than sufficient for any egy... if you are going over that you should be cutting your losers.

On my dukascopy account together with 50k demonion... I use about 2% margin per trade and its place to 200:1 I believe... I'm comfortable with 20-30 trades max... anything over I attempt to find an exit egy. . I wouldn't permit that mentally to let it ride. That is just me though.

With 50:1 it would apply myself to sticking with baskets that are champions... ofcourse if most baskets pass your plogical brink then its indiion your egy needs revising.

The $100 is well worth it if the machine operates. I plan to utilize atleast 10k to go if its worthwhile... can begin with dukascopy with a smaller sum before the difficulties start rising with winning a lot of... then the egy will establish itself so you can begin trading with more. .

Either way should you get to a high DD position it is possible to attempt to get out together with 50:1 you have a better chance of surviving and not allowing your emotions get the best of you. The simple fact that this egy snowballs to losses or profit implies that if your leverage is used up at 50:1 there is a HIGH chance it'll get used up at 100:1 or longer and you will sustain increased DD than desirable.
