Hi ,

I have been posting mostly on Moneytec but I think I'll go here, I enjoy it more, more friendlier...

for just about 3 months now I have been trying to trade against the trend, basically awaiting momentum to decrease and the build up my place contrary to the trend. This worked wonders until 2-3 weeks ago since basically there was just one direction which was shorting the dollar everywhere. Everytime the momentum appeared to slow I thought at the very least a correction would happen. So I'd start building up my position. No way, simply spiked even farther, taking me.

My live account decreased by 25% - I began live trading at the start of April, after taking my demo account up 40% using just conter trend trading.

At this point I'm thinking to ditch this system entirely; I understand what it's being mentioned about a new system not to ditch it at the first lost trades but I'm really questioning the whole concept of counter trend trading after viewing the last 3 months motion against the dollar. Simply open a weekely chart and see 3 nice and clear bulish candles.

Currently I'm on hold, no longer live trades, till I decide what to do next. What do you folks think of trend trading? Is anybody in here trading contrary to the trend in a manner that is consistent?

Thanks,
-soso
