Thread: Trend Following - A Complete Guide

    90438Hi Brenzaj,

Once you're in a trade with a first SL of 100 pips, do you trail a SL? From your last reply it seems you don't, but you exit on another cross. You will not be getting stopped out on whipsaws too often, if this is so, after your transaction takes off. Can you ever bring this stop to BE? If so, when?

    Thanks,
    C.

can it be the cross type that matters? Or are you interested in the price bars and also, pivots, market structure etc?

Ie., could you trade the crosses only, without so much as seeing the price pubs?

    Thanks

Now you tell me that crosses possess break and the angle to trade. Once you have an eye for this, it becomes second nature.

    Hope that helps.

90438I do not trade with bars, that was an exercise that I use to teach a individual's eyes to recognize good crosses. I do not listen to though except reverse and parallel analysis.

    90438Hi Brenzaj42,

Thanks for answering each of the questions posed. I've been reading more information on Parallel Inverse analysis and came across a website that specializes in utilizing P I analysis, along with some type of power allert for about $20.00 per month. Do you believe that it would be worth using such a service? If you've got a site or group you use/recommend please allow me to know.

Also, whenever there is a great 5/12 ema cross, at what point do you enter the trade? After the close of the bar at the cross, one pub later, etc.. A number of these crossing bars are very large, so if you attempt to await a pull back to these, I wondered?

    Thanks again,
    C.

90438I do not know what type you are referring to but it's easy to do by yourself. After a fantastic cross the transaction will be entered by me when it goes my way. Basically from the Asian Session or the Main Session. Another night if , I will reevaluate.

90438Hi, another recuite(sp) for the thread.
Like the idea of the 5/12 cross, real simple.

Lots of talk about big quantities of pairs to be watched. Is there a recommended list? ... or is there a warning of what to keep from?

Looking forward to the return of the Micardo though brenzaj42 is keeping us busy.

    90438Brenzaj42,

I'm happy you joined this thread and have been ready to bring your knowledge to this collection. I really appreciate what you've explained about how you trade. I'm excited about putting these items to work in the very near future trading the daily charts. I'll try not to be much of a pest from now on! Thanks for graciously reacting, as you have.

    Happy New Year for you.
