So - 7 out of 10 transactions is profitable.
Ahh. . I tought you supposed hit-rate on job offers
I am no expert , sorry, expert makes me giggle everytime, '' I do not think hedge funds and/or banks, as you mentioned in your first post, hire traders because of their systems.

I might be incorrect. Never worked for a hedge fund or bank. Don't fire me. :

Why wouldn't a bank or hedge fund hire a trader that was always profitable.

There aren't that many men who can always beat the market in and month out... and prove they can take action?

Your probably perfect. I really don't know the reqrunt procedure.
I am not going into details, but from having gone through an interview process and potential offer from another trading company before I went on my very own. Systems had nothing.
They had been situation based, almost personality based, queries. Some mental arithmatic, not one about how much money I had or hadn't made, and thankfully no spelling.

If you're thinking bank or finance, and are good enough to make it all in. Say good-bye for your own body. Unless it is your finance. You are going to have to abide by someone else's rules.

Again, might be wrong, just my 2cents worth on the subject.

PS: Meant to include, but slipped my mind

I think they look for the very best in the business eg. Hedge funds etc.. By way of instance if a trader is 7-out of-10 win percentage and profitable they'll take a look. But dont be surprised if they take some man that is 2-out of-10 since he loses possibly smaller than the 3 declines of the 7 from 10 trader, along with his two wins might easily dismiss the seven wins by alot. I beleive they make a killing since in case you win you get paid large and really measure how much you really can pull among everyone. Read Van Tharpes novels like one of the men said earlier he is really excellent. Anyways good luck.

    8% of 10,000.00

    8% of 1,000,000.00

    That's why you trade OPM.
