Yes, they don't have coaches, but with a coach likely is not the key element for their success. (Because their competitors also have coaches.)

I agree with you, a fantastic mentor is useful. Nonetheless, it's really difficult to find one.

I agree a real mentor is hard to find, and even should you manage to find one they will probably need persuasive you are a fantastic prospect and value mentoring! There is an important distinction though between a real mentor and a general training course seller.

There seems to be no end of people in this industry unjustifiably asserting mentor/guru standing, and no conclusion of readily impressed gullible novices eager to cover them cash. In most cases they're selling simply a few regurgitated trading mantra and some trading program that could readily be found around the internet, they're not much more advanced compared to novices they're promising to teach! The sad thing is some novices don't have expertise or common sense to recognize snake oil when they view it so they fall for the sales pitch.

Like you say, research more and exercise more. There is an abune of free advice and help available for novice traders to point them. Once they have reached the stage in their trading where a true mentor could be valuable to them they ought to be able to tell the difference.
