Exactly. At some point you just say to yourself, Can I automate this darn thing...

Perhaps you don't feel like trading for a week... you have that option and continue to be able to create money with an automated platform doing the job for you.

Folks laugh at the statement. But I know people who take action.

IMO, there is nothing better than to come back home from work, assess the P/L, think to yourself, Well that's cool, I made X today., and return downstairs and enjoy a movie with your wife.

Now is it enjoyable to trade. Heck yeah. There is nothing better than using an automated system doing it's thing, and trading onto the seng every night for just a tiny intraday. That's enjoyable.
This can get into a circular debate real quick when it comes to the talk of emotions. IMO, if there is money and you're investing in profits, there is always some dread of losing whether you down it to .01percent of your emotion or you less.

But I certainly agree, a fantastic trader keeps down the feelings.

Agreed. I think we both are probably thinking the same thing in the day's end.

My apologies. That was said by you. But I still mean to quote it.

We are firm believers and developers of all mechanical trading egies. We won't debate vs optional merits here as this thread is all about auto trading.

Firstly there are a couple of kinds of auto trading therefore we should be more specific.

    - Auto trading using a signal providers signals is probably the most common. This doesn't work and for many reasons, in fact too many to go into here but chiefly because of lack of patience and discipline and the use of discretion.

    - Auto trading with EA's. This is more effective. However, the areas could possibly be due to how the egy may not reflect a true and accurate report. More importantly you have to ensure that the connection along with the trading platform that you use are stable and reliable.

    - Auto trading through a Broker. Your funds have been automatically traded by the brokers platform. A system can be chosen by you or supply your own.

We believe this will become a very effective process of investment for traders later on.

I exchange a 1.2Milj managed account. I don't exchange any account or take some other position.

For that reason it is impossible to provide my trading to an automated executing system.
Every broker that provides automated trading comes in its contract that they cannot be held resposible for any technical failluer.

I might not think about it that in the day I must call clients and state: Sir I'm sorry but you lost a serious quantity of money today because of a technical error.
    They would not accept this.

That is also the reason that the broker I decide to work with, is also a telephonic broker with a fully professional future desk. If my internet platform would fail that I can call them emmidiatly and that they pick-up the phone ring tones and execute my order within 15sec.

If I would have to trade larger amounts of money for me personnaly I would not trust this to an automated executing platform. Since one never knows what can go wrong.

I've a buddy (trader) In holland. He works for a investment bank in Amsterdam. He also takes his orders manuallly. He told me that for each trader in the trading room they have 3 technical guys continious on watch if something happens.
For me that explaines enough that if they're so cosious that I want to be that also.

I used to not believe in EA trading, or I used to not TRUST them. However, I have been in contact for a while with a top-notch developer who's coding my system and results thus far are promising. He states that there's still a very long road ahead before it is ready, but I am beginning to change my opinion about automated trading.

I hope he finishes it soon because Im chewing my nails in excitement!
