If your broker is open over the weekend(for ex. Oanda). . Can there be a safe exchange to get into because of this? Long AUDUSD 100 lots perhaps? What's the best trade to consider at this time given this huge news, while the remaining portion of the forex world sleeps?

My broker is closed until Monday so in my case, I've already been positioned in within the last few months.

When this news is able to be exploited then its already been completed. Us retail guys are the last to hear that news.

So that you think this news/previous rumor is already priced in? The USD has been gaining quite a bit so I dont know why that could have happened if they knew this was a surety. I would have understood if the USD could have tanked throughout this week. From reading the news it appears to have come through as a surprise, so I am guessing when trading closes next 28, USD will tank. just my 2c

I am saying if the markets were available then it'd be acted upon instantly. With the weekend there'll be a large gap available Monday morning in Asian semester. From then, IDK.

There has also been confirmed intervention in the SNB BoJ this week which aided stablize the dollar among other items. US Market itself required a massive hit.

I don't get it.. .the link talks about the equity markets falling and another recession. Wouldn't that raise the value of the US Dollar, very similar to what occurred in'08? I thought the equity markets operate reverse of the USD.

People flock to treasuries throughout catastrophe, as they are regarded as the safest of instruments, but now they are not so secure, cash will flow out of dollars to other things.
