Thread: FOMC and Dollar Strength

Not to throw a monkey wrench into the works but the FOMC of today is from the assembly out of formerly. We know what the FED did. I really don't think now's PPI is going to have a lot of impact.

I predict, and this is only me, no analysis here, once the report hits, the GDP will jump upward THEN go back down. The over all trend is down anyways. So I feel secure.

I have been discussing this a lot over the last few hours

inflation is a concern, but the jobs numbers are giving a clouded picture due to seasonal workers, and baby boomers retiring

the fed is concerned about a house price driven crash so would be more likely to anounce a pause, but no cut, maybe not yet

manufacturing cpi ppi is more likely to increase from the run up to the holiday season, well absolutely accurate in the united kingdom

eventually the gbp/usd and eur/usd are at a peak or beginning a downward trend, so the upside of the announcement will be restricted

tomorrows data also indicates a strengthening of the dollar.... Me thinks

either expect a large, or whipsaw

I'd have waited before the eur/usd was over 1.2850 before I marketed, aint becoming a grid lock between fundys and techys. . Thats too much of a gamble
