Thread: Adding an indior to an indior

  1. #1
Anybody understand how to add a moving average to some MACD indior? I would like to add a 100 EMA to the MACD signal in the MACD indior window.

Hi, That's straightforward. Open Navigator and select Moving Average, click it and drag it with your mouse to the MACD window and then launch it. When the parameters screen opens go to Apply To and scroll right down to First Indior's information and select 100 in the period and any other parameter and state OK. Done.

yes there is. You must be doing it wrong.

Make the macd first drag and drop the moving average on the exact same WINDOW the macd is in.

Thanks ... seemingly not all can be done like that ...

I'm wondering after blending them, is there a method to actually edit them collectively in metaeditor ????

    thanks

    I agree with earthsmate.

It does not work like that in my MT 4. While I drag the MA over to the MAC, nothing occurs. While I keep doing this, the MA opens to the price chart not the MAC, RSI or another indior

it can easily be done to the the coffee platforms but MT 4 won't.

redneck my MT doesn't have an 'apply to' button, and also the equivalent 'attach to a chart' button doesn;t function for indiors it sounds.

The very first pic here is to show you where all the things mentioned above are:

The Second pic is Step 1, then click on Moving average and then drag it onto the MACD window as displayed below:

Measure 2, visit the drop down list title Employ To (called apply to in the picture) and click on the arrow. Then select First Indior's Data (named first indi's data in the pic):

Measure 3, then after clicking on First Indior's Info, select OK as shown below:

Today you ought to have your average on the indior:

If this did not work, either you did not follow the directions properly, or your version of MT4 is either extremely old because you don't let it update itself, or it's not MT4.

Perhaps they are just double clicking on, instead of DRAGGING the moving average?

Just trying to help. I've never had a problem doing this.
