Thread: Looking for EA (MQL4) programmer

  1. #11
Have you had some programming experience? MQL is quite simple to understand but having programming knowledge will assist in understanding statements.

  2. #12
I am seeking to cover an experienced programmer to make an EA. Only experienced dependable programmer will work with this job. Please answer ASAP. Thanks!

    Hahaha... that's rather paradoxical...

Its always funny to hear people coming in here saying they have some bright ideas and want among those programmers here to do it for them at a fee. And that programmer is expected to be experienced, communiive, reliable, etc.. . Prior to being considered for your project.

Don't you see the lapse in logic with that? I mean... you won't know if the programmer is actually experienced, communiive, reliable until you really work with the man or woman isn't it?! Or you happy with him/her TELLING you he/she has these traits?

Btw, next time please begin your own thread. Or be considerate enough to confer with the thread starter which you are high-jacking his. This is forum etiquette since you're asking for a programmer for another purpose.

Just another btw, I am an experienced, communiive, reliable programmer and that's the truth.

    regards,
    Zen

    Zen,

Before responding in a more direct way for your post, I feel it essential at the outset to emphasise behalf of the person who apparently destroyed your day before you crafted which response to my posting. Maybe my apology will cool the obvious ire you harbor and spare the following innocent person only seeking programming help from your combative, inarticulate verbal assaults.

Although I would not normally respond to a post like yours (for exactly the same reason an individual does not respond to an insult levied by a mentally challenged child), the level of faux excellence you attempt to impress upon your audience is only nauseating. In addition, although a component of your criticism is possibly on point, the way it is imparted is neither constructive nor respectful. So, as a favor to the forum specifically, and possibly mankind generally, I will create an exception to this ?insulting mentally challenged child? principle and react directly to your post.
    ?hahaha...?
Your bliss, in response to a genuine request for help, evinces both your immaturity and your egocentricity. If no one has told you earlier, the weather up there in your high horse is undoubtedly colder than it's down here together with the peasants. Maybe 1 day you should take a holiday down into the warmer weather where people mere mortals live - who knows it can prove to be a humbling experience.
    ?that's quite paradoxical...?
This, besides spelling the word apologize using an ?s? (which maybe could be explained away depending on where you are from), clearly shows your limited dexterity with punctuation and syntax. My request for help is not ?paradoxical? according to some definition of this word. Revisit your 8th grade English dictionary for additional assistance.
?Its always amusing to listen to people coming in here saying they have some bright ideas and want among those developers here to do it for them at a cost.?
I really don't see the point of the sentence. I am simply seeking to employ a programmer to make an original EA. Nowhere in my concise post did I solicit your comment or your remark. If you aren't interested in the job, why waste time and energy responding? In addition, it's evident you haven't spent much time in the corporate world as you seemingly don't understand the simplest aspects of a employer-contractor relationship. Can you really expect a person to engage you in light of your belligerent response? As they say, you only get one opportunity to create a good first impression. If that is your regular manner of attack to job-seeking, I shudder to think of this lifestyle you have to be forced to lead.
?Don't you find the lapse in sense with that? I mean... you won't know whether the programmer is REALLY 'experienced, communiive, dependable' before you really work with the person is not it?! Or you are only satisfied together with him TELLING you he's those traits??

Again your prowess of the English language is shown to be lacking. For your convenience and in case you didn't reevaluate your 8th grade dictionary as indied previously, I will specify the three quoted phrases (as per http://www.merriam-webster.com.

Experienced: produced skillful or wise through experience.
Expertise: sensible knowledge, skill, or training derived from direct observation of or participation in events or in a particular action

As per this component of the requisite criteria, I am simply searching for someone who, in his own opinion, is not a newbie when it comes to programming. My job will require someone who's experienced. Whether this concept is confusing or overly vague for you, I would suggest not speaking to yourself as ?experienced?

    Communiive: Assessing to convey
    Communie: to carry information...

As per this requirement, I am simply searching for a person who will be readily available for this job and can articulate his demands, both logistically and financially, to achieve my objective. In case you have trouble with this prong, I would suggest both an 8th grade English teacher and also a certified financial advisor.

Reliable: fit or suitable to be depended on

As per this requirement, I seek only someone, again in his own opinion, is dependable and could be depended on. There have been lots of instances in my professional life where I would have to decline business because I had been going to be more preoccupied with other, more urgent, engagements. It thus could be unfair to undertake new business if I was not going to have the ability to give it my 100%. This requirement only conveys my desire the applicant be dependable and see the job through to completion. I don't have any suggestion for you if you don't understand this aspect; possibly buy and read books on ?ethics in business?

There is no ?lapse in logic? to requesting the applicant have those characteristics. Plenty of people, apparently unlike you, can be truthful with themselves and decide they don't have the experience, energy, time or wherewithal to finish a programming project between forex. Welcome to the area of humility -- told you that the weather has been warmer down here.

?btw, next time please start your own thread. Or at least be polite enough to confer with the thread starter which you are high-jacking his. This is fundamental forum etiquette since you're asking to get a programmer for a different purpose.?

That is your sole legitimate point. However, as I said above, by the time I got to it after reading your diatribe thus much, it fell on deaf ears. But, in the spirit of repentance and reform, I acknowledge I should have started a new thread and not hijacked the current one. Oh, please, ye judge, jury and executioner, please save me from your anger from go back from whence you came! (i.e. cooler weather above.)

?another btw, I'm an experienced, communiive, dependable programmer and that is the reality.?

Now THIS is front page stuff. Call the newspapers.

To everyone else: I apologize that you had to watch this. Forgive me.

Alright, let's not start a fight here, the Mods might not enjoy it

    Btw, gotideas,
from what you wrote on your 1st post, it seems you are interested in an EA without giving any input into the programmer what type of egy you would like to use.
Feels like you're looking for something similar to a commercial EA.

    Hi Explorer,

I've replied to the first 3 people that PM'd or emailed me so far, sorry if I haven't got to yours nonetheless. I've been swamped.

I am aiming to kick this off in early September today, I will get back on to the late.

Oh, and if you didn't realise, Gotideas isn't the poster.

Both sides of the new arguement have interesting logical points, why can't we all just get together?

As per my original post on this thread: Yes, I am looking for a MQL programmer to tutor me and assist with a job. I am very capable of studying the language itself, I am very complex with SQL and intermediate with VB. However, I am eager to pay to get a head start, and short on time. My goals are pure

I will update shortly, thanks to the great answers on and off the ribbon, very helpful. I will decide who to hire.

I will also post comments on how good the person was here later.

    Thank you,

    DJ.

    Djrmenace,

you've confused me to a developer. I am also only searching for help.

    Gotideas,

Although I see your point, I got a VERY professional response from Zen, so although he can overshoot his answer to you, it prompted me to respond to him. That only tells me, what I already knew from the corporate world, email could be interpreted anyway you want it, and one never knows, how can it get interpreted. (And before you comment in my English, sorry, it is not my native language. And Zen is from Singapore.)

However, I agree with an earlier post, why we just don't get together, a number of us needs help, others can provide help (paid or not compensated.) It is next to impossible to write a ideal specifiion and it is equally next to impossible to code flawlessly. We're just not perfect. Just my 2c.

I see the mis-understanding, Cheers and decent luck.

At the mean time I have been swamped at work, still yet to carry this job on. I will do shortly. Thanks for the replies.
