Thread: Perpetual MT4 Problem

    1 Attachment(s) Hi all,
I'm having an irksome time with MT4 at the moment, and wondered if anybody could advise me of a 'fix'?
I have posted below a 1 hour chart for your swissy.
You will note that, on the ideal hand vertical axis of the chart, the thick blue border line runs almost the full length. This offers the range within vertical motion of the chart as a whole is possible.

As I wish to control the chart freely, I then go into 'Properties' and amend minimums and the maximum.
Briefly I will then proceed my chart vertically, but the adjusted minimum and maximum quickly reverts back to it's previous setting, and once again I cannot move my chart vertically.
Just a little difficulty, but fast becoming a real pain in the trap.
    Please help!

From what I could know from above, you've fixed (and congested the caliberations) the vertical price.

Only Double Click the ideal hand price scale (on right side of that Blue line)
    it'll be normal!

    Hi
I've only tried this, but unfortunately no joy!
It's as though MT4 has memorised the perpendicular range somehow, and resets itself back to the same range no matter what I do.
    Fruing.

It's like MT4 has memorised the vertical range, and resets itself back to the identical range regardless of what I do.
    Fruing.
You can download a new MT4 from the broker and begin over??

Correction: ' Right click on 'Properties' in the context menu 'Common' tab eliminate tick from 'Scale fix' checkbox

Thank you for of the help.
I have managed to sort it, at last.
By scrolling back a few months, until no bars are visible on the screen, I will then amend the adjusted min/max, and scroll ahead.
When I return to the current date, the min/max have then been set at much further intervals, which MT4 afterward(at last) appears to accept.
    Unusual!
